I really enjoyed my time at The Brix. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and the music is very nice. The food is delicious and well-prepared. The prices are reasonable for the quality and service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

THE BRIX - Eatery & Bar Lounge - Restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
The Brix occupies a pool-equipped compound on Trần Ngọc Diện that feels several degrees removed from the neighborhood's busier stretches, with open-air terraces and dense tropical greenery giving it a resort quality that few Thao Dien dining rooms can match.
Chef Phong's kitchen runs across formats with consistent execution. Weekend brunch draws regulars for premium ingredients and clean plating; the venue also stages four-hands dinners with multi-course menus and wine pairings — a level of ambition uncommon for an address that doubles as a cocktail bar. The cocktails earn consistent, unprompted praise across reviews and function as a genuine draw rather than a supplement to the food.
The space scales well. The team has handled 70-person buyouts that included pool access, coordinated catering, and last-minute logistics — swim towels on request — with event management described as hands-on and organized throughout. For smaller parties, service is personalized: staff have been noted arranging birthday gestures unprompted and staying closely involved in the guest experience.
The venue's main competitive edge is flexibility. The same open terrace that handles a productive business lunch at midday shifts toward a more romantic register after dark with the pool lit and pace relaxed. That range — from afternoon catch-ups to four-hands tasting evenings to full venue buyouts — makes it a practical anchor for occasions that need more atmosphere than a standard Thao Dien dining room. The one recurring caveat in reviews is bar service pacing during peak periods.
Reviews
A great spot with a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of options, and the dishes are tasty and easy to enjoy. Prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
Kind of as if a higher end chic South Beach eatery (with a pool) was transported to Saigon...just at 1/3 of the price. The ambiance is amazing. Seriously well designed and appointed. Extremely tasteful architecture and the placement of the pool is well incorporated so that it isn't "gimicy." The cuisine is the standout, however. The girl is more about pure South Vietnamese dishes. Traditional. Yet even she agreed that despite the European / Italian fare it is far, far above average with her only qualm being she couldn't jive with the Gnocci due to it being heavy on the flavor profile due to the Parmesian (I found it balanced). She even enjoyed the BBQ Oysters which I found surprising as she generly hates Oysters (albeit when raw). Speaking of, delicious prep on the BBQ Oysters, served warm off the BBQ over a bed of large, coarse Sea Salt which provides a nice aesthetic. The Prawn Caeser was decent, a good leaf slicing size and a creamy Caeser without overpowering Anchovy essence. Think they were low on Croutons but whatever. I enjoyed the Gnocci and was surprised she found it appealing despite the Truffle sauce as that is not her palate, her only qualm being the Parmesian but I found the texture well above average with some crispness on all sides of each (meticulously plated) bite and found the Truffle mild and nowhere near as overpowering as it can sometimes be in a similiar dish. The standout was the Squid. Thick, THICK tentacles sliced into perfect bites aside from the centerpiece ones which are for you to cut to your own preferred size served over broccolini and some white asparagus with an Asian vierge sauce that was well fitted to both our taste. Just an overall 10/10. 11/10 when you factor in the currency exchange rate vs. Singapore.
We had not gone back to the Brix since almost the opening when it was quite sort local jet set feel. Very nice and cosy evolution. We had diner inside. Very cool atmosphere with superb open kitchen. Very good steacks. Very attentive service. Very nice moment and experience.
Just had an outstanding business lunch at The Brix Eatery & Bar Lounge with an old friend, and it couldn’t have been better. Tucked away in Thảo Điền, this place feels like a tropical escape right in the middle of the city—lush greenery everywhere, a stunning pool area, and a chic, open-air atmosphere that’s relaxed yet upscale. Ideal for a productive catch-up without the usual city hustle. The food was excellent—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. We went for some of Chef Phong’s inventive Western fusion dishes, and everything from the appetizers to the mains was spot-on: perfectly cooked, creative, and using top-quality ingredients. Portions were generous, and the quality really stands out—definitely one of the highlights of my HCMC visits. Service was warm, attentive, and professional, making the whole experience feel special. Whether you’re after a casual brunch, romantic dinner, or like us, a business lunch that doubles as a treat, The Brix delivers every time. Highly recommend—will be back soon! 🌴🍽️
