I've been living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for 20 years. Maybe because it rained today, Thao Dien feels a little quieter than usual this evening. While searching for a place to have dinner with my youngest son, I happened to come across this restaurant. After trying it, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was, and the prices were very reasonable as well. They also have a happy hour on weekdays from 5 PM to 8 PM, so the drinks were quite affordable too. It's not easy to find a place in Thao Dien that offers great food, a nice atmosphere, and good value for money all at the same time, so I feel lucky to have discovered this restaurant. I think I'll be coming back here quite often in the future. 😄
We came to have the lunch buffet. Fish was okay, not too fresh. Salmon and kanpachi goma were fine; I don't recommend the tuna. Grilled skewers were nice. Staff told us at 13:40 that last order is at 14:00 while we were still waiting for our karaage & grilled tomato. Kitchen staff then left before 14:00 without serving us. 3/10 overpriced & not worth it.
