The Story

About This Place

Fine Coffee Agency occupies a small shophouse off Đường Số 64 in Thảo Điền, and the scale is part of the point. There are no sprawling Instagram backdrops here — just an open, well-ventilated room where the focus lands squarely on what's in the cup. The owner, Thai, roasts and brews with the kind of precision that turns first-time visitors into regulars, then turns regulars into something closer to a standing community. Conversations run long, faces become familiar, and the line between customer and guest blurs.

The coffee program leans on sourcing over spectacle. A natural-process arabica — reportedly the only one several long-term Saigon residents tracked down across weeks of searching — anchors the menu alongside espresso and fresh-brewed blends. The cà phê sữa đá draws particular attention: multiple reviewers single it out as a benchmark version of Vietnam's most iconic drink, which is a meaningful claim in a city that takes that drink seriously. Prices sit well below what comparable specialty bars in the neighborhood charge.

The clientele skews international without the venue catering to it overtly. Thai is comfortable in English, and a steady stream of expats and long-stay travelers has found the place, drawn partly by word of mouth and partly by the absence of the usual tourist-facing signage. For a neighborhood with no shortage of well-designed cafes, Fine Coffee Agency stands apart by prioritizing craft and continuity over concept. It opens at 8 AM every day of the week, closes earlier on Sundays, and fills a specific need: a serious cup without ceremony, in a space that rewards coming back.

Fine Coffee is definitely one of my new favorite spots. The coffee here is amazing, you can really taste the quality in every sip. What I like most is the space—it’s so open and airy, not stuffy at all. Plus, the service was fantastic. The staff were very polite and attentive. I’ll be coming back for sure!

My favorite coffee shop in the whole world. From the amazing coffee master Thai to the wonderful regulars who feel like family. And don’t even get me started on the coffee itself… absolute next level. Can’t imagine life without this place. xoxo, Jojo

Nice cozy place for regulars, quite small though. They have fresh brewed coffees and blends, which I highly recommend. Super cool owner that accomodates English. I see a lot of English speakers frequent this place.
