The Story

About This Place

Timber Bistro sits on Trần Não in An Khánh ward, a street that feeds a steady flow of District 2 regulars who've worked out that the coffee here punches well above its price point. The interior is built around natural wood tones and substantial modern furniture — the kind of seating that encourages staying for a second drink rather than rushing out. A carved wooden door marks the entrance, a detail that surprises first-time visitors and becomes the landmark they describe to friends.

The almond ice blended latte has developed a following among regulars who treat it as a weekly fixture, and the kitchen puts out soup that reviewers single out separately — a genuine differentiator at a venue where food often gets overlooked. Air conditioning runs notably strong, a practical advantage during HCMC afternoons, and the floor plan is spacious enough that finding a comfortable spot rarely involves waiting.

Open every day from 6 AM to midnight, the café catches both the early laptop crowd settling in for a morning session and the late-evening group looking for somewhere quiet to close out the day. Pricing sits noticeably below what equivalent interior quality commands elsewhere in Thao Dien, which accounts in part for the loyal repeat clientele. Staff are unhurried and attentive, and occasional drink promotions reward returning guests.

In a stretch of the neighborhood that has more coffee options than most parts of the city, the 5.0 rating across 227 reviews alongside serious drinks, actual food, and generous hours marks this as one of the stronger all-day options on the east side of the district.

Timber Bistro has a cozy atmosphere with a slightly luxurious feel. The interior reminds me of Thai Cong's style, elegant yet inviting. The sofas are lovely and very comfortable, which makes the space feel even more relaxing. The food is delicious, and the wooden fireplace adds a warm, charming touch to the whole café.

Went by the shop and was impressed by the wooden door. The place is cozy. The soup is fantastic. It’s a special day today and woman gets a free drink also. Staffs are super friendly. Will come back with friends.
