Mamacita Thao Dien - Mediterranean restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

So so good. We’re from San Diego, California, so we’re completely spoiled when it comes to Mexican/ South American food. We’ve search far and wide in HCMC for some good tacos and margaritas and we’ve been so disappointed until Mamacita. From the bites, starters, to the mains and the drinks, we’ve enjoyed it all. The margaritas served up so more like a Mexican martini but the flavor is there and so good. The staffs are friendly and attentive. Our water glasses are filled the instant they’re halfway down!!! They trained their people right at this place. We’ve been here for lunch and dinner and we can not say enough good things about Mamacita. This place deserves a shining 5 stars. We’ve found our restaurant for tacos and margaritas and more.

A nice Mexican restaurant/bar. Great food for a reasonable price. It is well decorated and air conditioned. Very friendly staff. There is a live singing performance at night. Definitely, one of the best restaurants to dine in District 2.

Food 1.9 🌟 9/10 Tuna TNT Light kick with flavorful tuna bits and chewy crunch fried rice cake 100/10 Beef tongue Tacos Extremely tender and flavorful meat with a light kick 🌶 10/10 Al Pastor Tacos Flavorful and tender meat 9/10 De Belly Like the flavor, but definitely prefer the 2 options above Price 0.9 🌟 A tad pricey, but it is TD. For the food quality, it's worth a visit from time to time. Though, Tacos Tuesday is absolutely worth it! Service 0.9 🌟 Staff are friendly and tried to be as attentive as they could for a busy Sat night. Environment 1.0 🌟 Cute Latin vibe set up, fun, and lively Overall 4.7 🌟 Will be back often for Tacos Tuesday!

If you can only eat one dish at Mamacita, please try the salmon bomb. It’s hands down the best thing that I’ve tasted in a really long time. Absolutely delicious and lives up to its name. The strawberry juice is fresh, sweet and sour, love it. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Very vibrant setting, and so is the food. We tried fried calamari, 2 different mains of beef, shrimp taco. The service can take bit but food quality was good. Portion size could be bigger but not too small. Overall would come here again and try more options on menu.
