Dash Thao Dien - Bar in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

This is the best cocktail bar in Thảo Điền, I have ever visited. I have not visited all the cocktail bars in HoChiMinh City, but I am sure that this bar ranks at the top, sure enough! They will not save alcohol behind the table. They do try to get you drunk with the sincere recipes. Even they don't have the kind you would like to drink if you give them the name, the boss will find the recipe and he tries the closest taste with his bottles. Everytime when I want to get some more shots before going back home, I have visited here. They also let you run some musics you would like to listen to. The light itself is kind of very dark, inside the bar. I see it is a good place for the couples too.

Our group stumbled upon this gem and quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed this spot, so much so that we went twice! The atmosphere is the perfect mix of lively and cozy—whether you’re here to catch up with friends, enjoy a date night, or just unwind after a long day. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and very accommodating to our group. We didnt come for the food but drinks are well crafted and balanced.

Excellent cocktails, and service to match. Nice dim romantic vibe. Minimalist and initimate style. If i lived in HCMC i would go back again!!

We originally planned to check out Dram in Thao Dien, but it was way too crowded, so we decided to take a stroll around the area and see what else we could find. That’s when we stumbled upon a cute little spot called Dash, right on Xuan Thuy. The place is tiny, probably seats fewer than 10 people but it immediately caught our eye. There were a few seats outside, but since it was a hot day, we opted for the cozy indoor space. Inside, it’s really intimate, perfect for a date night or a small group of 2–4 friends. Any bigger, and you might have trouble fitting everyone in. At the bar, there was just one bartender and one server. Service was friendly and attentive, though we waited about 10 minutes for our drinks, not lightning-fast, but reasonable. The cocktails themselves were delicious, and the owner was super sweet. They even surprised us with a complimentary B52 shot when they found out someone in our group was celebrating a bday. Prices are pretty standard for D2 cocktails range from 200k to 300k VND per glass. All in all, Dash is a charming little bar that’s definitely worth a try if you’re in a small group. I’d give it a solid 7.5 out of 10!

Good atmosphere, and a super cute welcomer, the best with a cozy feeling in D2. Highly recommend Dash for weekdays or weekends with friends or more :)
