WKND - Brunch restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

This is a great cafe and definitely worth a visit. We came for a late afternoon lunch and had a range of bowls, burgers and salad and everything was delicious. Good range of veg options too.

I arrived at 8:45 AM without a reservation. The restaurant was not busy at all - only a few tables were occupied. I asked the staff at the reception desk for a table for 3, but her attitude was strange and unfriendly. She told me to wait, then gave me three table options, none of which were in good places. When my friend arrived, I asked to switch to another table among the two options she had previously shown us. The staff then said the restaurant was “fully booked” and that the table was reserved, but still allowed us to sit there until 10:30 AM. At 10:30, we were asked to move, even though I clearly saw several nice tables remaining empty the entire time we were there and even after we left-no one ever sat at them. When we asked to continue sitting, the only option offered was a balcony table under direct sunlight at 11 AM, with no alternative provided. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. It was difficult to get the staff’s attention-we had to stand up every time we needed something. Payment was correct, but we still had to wait about 10 minutes just to pay the bill. Most importantly, the staff’s facial expressions and attitude throughout the service were noticeably unfriendly.

Excellent! Kids can have fun while adults enjoy their quiet meal, indoor or outdoor. Kids have their own menu set with children friendly utensils. Good blend of food choices from croissants to regular meals. There's a good choice of alcoholic drinks in the menu as well.

The best seats are at the bar near the open kitchen. It's incredibly interesting to watch. The portions are huge, and service is fast. The food is incredibly delicious. It's best to order one dish at a time because the portions are large.

Professional-looking restaurant with a nice, spacious setup. I stopped by after having some craft beer at a nearby spot and ordered more craft here, but the taste wasn’t as good — probably because beer isn’t their main focus. The octopus salad I tried, however, was pretty decent and well-prepared. Overall, it feels like a place where choosing wine over beer would make more sense, and the food seems reliable if you’re looking for something light or nicely presented.
