Hidden in a narrow street but worth a visit. Food is grilled on a big BBQ grill outside. Specialized in eel but there are a few other dishes such as chicken and pork. The eel kimchi soup is another highlight. Would come back with more friends for sure.

The grilled eel here is very flavorful, and all three types of chicken skewers had a similar taste — rich, well-seasoned, and delicious. However, since everything seemed to be pre-cooked and then presented on the charcoal grill without real heat, the food was slightly cold. Rice and panchan (side dishes) are refillable, and for an average person, about one and a half bowls of rice is enough to feel full. Overall, it’s quite worth trying.

I decided to visit this restaurant with a friend for lunch, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. We ordered the Japanese-style grilled eel rice and the chicken with egg rice. Each dish was beautifully presented and immediately caught our attention. Not only were the dishes visually appealing, but the quality and flavors were also excellent. Everything tasted delicious and well-balanced. What made the experience even more special was the attentive service. The staff kindly guided us on how to properly mix the rice to enjoy it the right way. The Korean owner was incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel very welcome. However, the restaurant was a bit warm, possibly because we visited at lunchtime when it was quite crowded. Despite that, the overall experience was still very enjoyable. After the meal, the owner even gifted each of us a bottle of Probi Vinamilk, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we will definitely be coming back soon.

Everything comes together harmoniously, making the whole set feel thoughtfully curated and never overwhelming. Found this cozy spot in Thao Dien. The smell of eel grilling over real charcoal at the entrance is a total hook. Their Hitsumabushi is the real deal—smoky, tender, and properly glazed. I love that they offer variety sets with pork and chicken too, so there’s something for everyone. It’s got that authentic, tucked-away vibe that makes a meal feel special. Definitely a solid choice for an unagi fix in District 2.
