The Story

About This Place

Busshari sits inside the West Office building at Lumiere Riverside on Võ Nguyên Giáp, which puts it on the quieter An Phú edge of the neighborhood rather than the more crowded café strip near the river. The room pairs warm wood tones with deep blue accents and offers bar seating alongside regular tables—an interior that reads polished without being cold, drawing couples and small groups who want a proper sit-down rather than a casual bite.

The menu is focused rather than sprawling. The agedashi tofu is a consistent highlight—the curd absorbs the sauce while holding its texture, and the accompanying vegetables pick up the same flavor. The wagyu beef claypot has drawn the most attention across reviews, praised for depth of flavor and execution. Charred rice balls, simple by design, reflect the same restrained precision, and the chawamushi and sukiyaki round out a selection that leans on quality over range. The tempura roll stays crisp with a balanced texture, and the cocktail list has earned specific praise alongside the sake options—making the bar a workable anchor for longer evenings.

On Friday through Sunday, the kitchen offers an omakase set that brings a different crowd from the regular lunch and dinner trade: diners who plan rather than walk in. Weekday hours split into lunch service until 3 PM and dinner from 5 PM onward, so the gap matters for anyone arriving mid-afternoon.

Service has been singled out across multiple reviews as attentive and genuinely warm. With 345 reviews at 4.9, the consistency across visits is notable for a restaurant operating at this price point in a neighborhood with no shortage of Japanese options.

Great spot to enjoy modern Japanese cuisine. Nicely designed outlet. Awesome to get together with friends. Bottle of sake and beer and snacking on food all night!!

The food selection not a lot but acceptable for those who knows japanese food. My girlfriend and niece find the selection too little and more costly based on their vn. I personally find the food not bad especially rhe chawamushi and also the sukiyaki. Just felt the portion is a bit too small given the pricing. The staffs though helpful but is a bit passive for a high end restaurant. A bit lacking But sitting here throughout the dinner didn't see any japanese chef.
