This is such a reliable and user-friendly bakery cafe. Not only are the pastries delicious, but the menu also includes local Vietnamese dishes—perfect for travelers who might be hesitant about street food. The prices remain casual without compromising on authentic local flavors. The upstairs seating area is absolutely charming and ideal for a tea break. With consistently polite and friendly service, it’s a place I find myself returning to again and again.

The Dreamers Bakery & Coffee - Bakery in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
The Dreamers Bakery & Coffee occupies a multi-floor space on Thảo Điền street, operating Wednesday through Sunday from 6:30 AM and functioning as a genuine working bakery rather than a café that happens to stock a few pastries. The croissants are the anchor — repeatedly singled out in reviews as the flakiest and most buttery in Saigon, with a French colleague's endorsement cited as confirmation. The counter extends well beyond plain croissants: cheese garlic, chocolate, ham and cheese, pâté chaud, and a pistachio-strawberry cruffin sit alongside passion fruit-pistachio and butterscotch New York rolls, fruit Danish, and apple turnovers.
The 88k morning combo — any coffee paired with any pastry — is the best-value entry point in a neighborhood where breakfast prices run high. For a fuller meal, the Dreamers breakfast set at 125k VND covers more ground. The KremSant boxes add a structured dessert option in three versions: tiramisu with mascarpone and Amaretto, Japanese matcha with pure whipping cream, and a coconut build using fresh coconut milk and young coconut meat.
The larger of two Thao Dien locations, the upstairs floor is quieter and draws the laptop crowd; the ground floor picks up noise on weekends. The interior leans toward greenery, natural light, and warm tones without the maximalist styling that fills many nearby cafés. Coffee runs 70k–120k, with cappuccinos at 75k. Service is consistently fast.
What gives this place staying power in a dense café district is the range: savory cropizza rolls stuffed with chorizo, bacon, or chicken sausage sit alongside delicate cruffins and cream-filled tarts, giving it genuine morning-to-midday breadth that most single-concept coffee shops in the area cannot match.

Amazingly georgeous! Love this coffee bakery shop so much. You can have coffee, juice, tea, icecream, pastries, cake, bread, breakfast or lunch. Its decoration is perfect: greenery, artistic, bright and cozy. My latte is great, custart is yummy and beautiful. Price range of drinks is 70k-120K, food is 145k, cake and bread is around 60K. FYI, In Thao Dien, there are 2 shops and this one is larger.
Very good good and pastry shop. I came here twice on my way to work. It looks very French and the pastries are very nice. My colleague is actually French. And he approved of the croissants. The coffee is good as well. I think they also have seating upstairs. But I‘m not 100 percent sure. Maybe it‘s just to go. But it‘s worth it when you are around.
Very nice coffee shop/bakery in Thảo Điền. They have coffee, pastries, and also breakfast items Inside or outside, also upstairs. They just need to oil the very squeaky front door…
Great place to have coffee with friends upstairs or do some work. Comfortable chairs, fast and friendly service Sometimes can be noisy and crowded in the weekend 75k cappuccino, on the high end of pricing in the area but it tastes good. 88k combo any pastry + any coffee in the morning. Decent deal for those who like pastry (tastes pretty good too)
