Quick service. Nice staff. Outdoor area is good with fresh air. The Sangria wine is grapey and fruity. Only thing is the food a bit safty for me, I love the fresh flavor more than that.

iBERICO - TAPAS y VINO Thao Dien - Restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
iBERICO sits on Võ Trường Toản in Thao Dien, drawing expats and locals who want something distinctly European in a neighborhood better known for brunch spots and rooftop bars. The kitchen opens daily at 4 PM and runs a tapas-forward menu built around quality Iberian produce — cured jamón, Spanish cheeses, and croquettes that regulars single out above everything else. Paella is made in-house and the preparation is visible from the main dining room, where indoor seating faces directly into the open kitchen.
Both indoor and outdoor options are available. The terrace pulls in guests who want fresh air, while inside the background music keeps energy up without overwhelming a long table conversation — which matters when an evening stretches into multiple rounds of sangria and shared plates. The sangria leans fruity and grapey, and the wine list is deliberately curated rather than exhaustive. Spanish-style cocktails fill out the drinks menu alongside the wine.
Service runs quickly for a kitchen handling steady covers, and staff are noted across reviews for solid English, which helps first-timers unfamiliar with the tapas format navigate the menu. A useful heads-up: some items are priced per person rather than per plate, which has surprised a few diners when the bill arrived. The food skews savory and salty in a way that suits drinking; those after lighter, fresher seasoning may find the kitchen heavier-handed than expected.
The operation now runs two Saigon locations alongside a newer riverfront outpost in Hoi An, and the consistency across reviews suggests the kitchen and floor hold their standard across both. For Thao Dien evenings that call for wine and something other than Vietnamese or brunch fare, it fills a real gap.
Reviews
A perfect place to meet with friends and enjoy great food, especially if you love good jamón ibérico and Spanish cheeses. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it ideal for long conversations over tapas and Spanish style cocktails. Their wine selection is excellent and well chosen. With two locations in Saigon and a new riverside spot in Hoi An, it is a solid choice for lunch, brunch, or dinner. Definitely worth a visit.
The food is no doubt high quality however a bit too salty base on my experience with Tapas... def for drinking. I would return because the croquette is heavenly Iberico pork is a must.
Very nice place when it comes to great authentic tapas & Spanish style cocktails. Their wine selection is quite amazing too. Definitely the place to go with friends or family. They currently have 2 restaurants in Saigon as well as a new one in Hoi An town riverside. Recommended for lunch, brunch or diner.
YUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!! What an amazing, authentic Spanish feast. The food came out fast and was all incredibly flavourful and diverse. The ambience was lovely and the staff were knowledgable and engaging! I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Thank you so much Wayne and Thuy - the menu and food was all outstanding and made me want to book a trip to Spain!
