Ciao Bella - Restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
Ciao Bella sits on Võ Trường Toản in An Phú, a quieter residential stretch in the broader Thao Dien corridor. With 293 Google reviews averaging 4.4 stars, it has built the kind of following that takes sustained consistency to accumulate — not a venue riding an opening wave, but one that has been feeding the neighborhood long enough for repeat visitors to outweigh first-timers in the review pool.
Thao Dien has no shortage of Italian options. The dense expat population in nearby apartment towers — Thao Dien Pearl, Masteri, The Estella — sustains consistent demand for European cuisine, and several Italian kitchens compete for the same Tuesday-night pasta craving. A 4.4-star average in that field is a genuine signal, placing Ciao Bella credibly in the upper range of the neighborhood's Italian scene without requiring a special-occasion reason to visit.
The hours — 11 AM to 10 PM, identical every day including weekends — make the math simple for residents who want a reliable lunch option or a last-minute dinner table that doesn't require a reservation call. That kind of operational consistency tends to attract a local crowd rather than destination diners: expat families cycling through a reliable rotation, couples who live within ten minutes, colleagues settling a team lunch.
For visitors coming from central Saigon, the An Phú location is most sensibly paired with other errands or stops in the Thao Dien area rather than treated as a standalone destination. For those already in the neighborhood, it offers a straightforward Italian meal without the unpredictability of a newer or more experimental option.
Reviews
The pizza was amazing:) the vibe was also great, cosy and warm. The staff was also very helpful. Definitely my fav spot for Italian food in D2
Small homey Italian restaurant. The baked sea bass was surprisingly good
Well... I've never been to "Ciao Bella Primo" (District 1), but I've been to Ciao Bella Thao Dien five times. I've been to many Italian restaurants, even in Italy. But this Italian restaurant in Vietnam is like a trip to Italy without leaving Vietnam—fantastic food, cozy space, and five-star service. And for me, a true tiramisu critic, it's the best tiramisu I've eaten on the entire Asian continent, and I've been to several countries. I highly recommend it. Congratulations!
Well - taste was nice, but a italian restaurant that overcooks the pasta will not be visited again!
