Home delivery review. Nice bagels, however they were quite chewy and the texture wasn't as good as some of the competition in Thao Dien (New York Bagel, for instance). Internal contents of bagel were fresh and flavourful. Doughnuts were reasonably good; a little heavy and greasy, but I've had much worse elsewhere. Coffee was just unpleasant, however, it was iced (no choice of hot....) and clearly Vietnamese Robusta beans, so you get what you pay for. I would hesitantly recommend.
Bagel Brothers - Bagel Shop in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
Bagel Brothers on Lê Văn Miến has built a loyal following among Thao Dien's expat community and local regulars by doing one thing well: hand-made bagels with real craft behind the fillings. The dough is soft and chewy in the right way—customers who grew up eating American bagels say these compare favorably or better, which carries weight. The jalapeño cheese bagel delivers genuine heat rather than a token gesture, and the chicken pesto—sous vide roast chicken with house-made pesto and sun-dried tomatoes—has converted customers who came in for something else entirely. The salmon cream cheese lox layers premium smoked salmon with capers over double-whipped Philadelphia cream cheese, landing closer to a New York deli counter than anything else in the neighborhood.
The kitchen opens at 6:30 AM, which catches the pre-commute crowd as well as families settling in for a longer breakfast. A PlayStation setup keeps kids occupied, making it genuinely practical for parents who want an unhurried meal rather than a rushed one. Staff and owners draw specific, unprompted mentions in reviews—not as filler praise but as a reason people come back week after week. The donuts are a secondary draw that regulars describe as among the best in Ho Chi Minh City; most come for the bagels and end up ordering both.
Combos pair bagels with Vietnamese milk coffee, fresh coconut, or orange juice, and the full menu is available on Grab for delivery. Thursday through Saturday the kitchen closes at 2 PM, so the longer service on weekdays suits the remote-working crowd in the area. Against Thao Dien's broad café scene, Bagel Brothers occupies a specific niche: a breakfast-first operation with genuine product quality and a room that feels lived-in rather than dressed for photographs.
Reviews
How is it that I come here once a week and I still don't have any photos of their food? Because it's so good I devour it as soon as it hits the table. Seriously, my husband and I love this place. And though we usually go for the bagels, their donuts are arguably the best in town. Bonus points for having kind staff and lovely owners!
Absolutely amazing. Great place, super good - delicious Bagels. Pls go and enjoy at least 1 Bagel
Stumbled upon this place looking for breakfast and got lucky. Great coffee and bagel sandwiches. We got the bacon and egg. If you're in the area, give it a try. We quite liked it.
Might be my favorite bagel anywhere. Soft, chewy, hand made...puts american processed bagels to shame. The jalapeno cheese bagel had major kick which was a very pleasant surprise. Modern, clean, great service.
