Pasta Fresca nằm trong không gian ngoài trời có mái che bên trong Oishi Town — một cụm nhà hàng nhỏ khuất sau con hẻm rẽ từ đường Thảo Điền. Bếp vận hành theo hình thức tự chọn: thực khách chọn loại pasta — spaghetti, rigatoni, pici, gnocchi và nhiều loại khác — rồi kết hợp với sốt tùy sở thích, từ ragu truyền thống đến gorgonzola hay carbonara béo ngậy. Pici — loại pasta Tuscan cuộn tay dày dặn — đã trở thành món gọi chuẩn của nhà hàng, đặc biệt khi ăn kèm các sốt phô mai đậm đà. Nhiều thực khách quen cho biết hương vị vẫn giữ nguyên chất lượng từ thời nhà hàng còn đặt ở Phú Nhuận trên đường Phan Xích Long.
Phần antipasto là điểm khác biệt lớn nhất so với phần lớn các nhà hàng Ý ở Thao Dien. Đĩa cold cuts có mortadella, salami, coppa, Parma ham và xúc xích 'nduja cay, trong khi đĩa phô mai gồm mozzarella, taleggio, Parmesan và gorgonzola ăn kèm hành tây caramel và focaccia. Arancini nhân 'nduja và mozzarella hoàn thiện phần khai vị. Các nguyên liệu ở đây được nhập đúng nguồn thay vì thay thế bằng hàng nội địa, điều này lý giải cả chất lượng lẫn mức giá — khoảng 400.000 đồng mỗi người cho một bữa ăn chia sẻ, cao hơn mặt bằng ăn uống đường phố quanh khu nhưng tương xứng với nguyên liệu được sử dụng.
Pizza mất nhiều thời gian hơn các món khác — điều này được không ít thực khách nhắc đến — nhưng bù lại, vỏ bánh mỏng nhẹ và xốp theo phong cách Neapolitan, khác hẳn loại vỏ dày kiểu giao hàng phổ biến ở nhiều nơi trong quận. Khu vực ngoài trời có mái che giúp giảm bớt cái nóng ban ngày, dù cách bày trí khá đơn giản — không có tham vọng thiết kế hay phô trương. Thực khách chủ yếu là người nước ngoài và cư dân Thao Dien, những người chủ động tìm vào con hẻm không phải vì không khí mà vì pasta và charcuterie.
I’ve been here many times and the food is always excellent—fresh, flavorful, and consistent. However, service could really use improvement. Staff are often inattentive, which affects the overall experience. Still worth visiting for the food, but hoping to see better service soon.
Tucked away in the heart of District 2, this Italian restaurant is a true culinary gem. The pizza might take a little time to arrive, but trust me—it’s worth every second of the wait. The dough is spot-on: light, airy, and full of flavor, with that unmistakable taste that transports you straight to Italy. The pasta dishes are equally impressive, crafted with care and bursting with authentic Italian flair. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate they serve. If there’s one small bémol, it’s the side offerings—breadsticks and pizza dough served alongside are a bit too dry and plain, with the sticks leaning toward overly hard. But honestly, that’s a minor note in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. The ambiance adds to the charm: cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed evening out. Whether you're a pizza purist or just craving a taste of Italy, this spot delivers.
Food was good but both of us got food poisoning the next day. Not sure if it was from the steak or the salad or the pizza, but it was surely from the dinner we had at Pasta Fresca. Atmosphere is nice, but you will get a bit disappointed if you need to go to the restroom. It’s also quite close to the kitchen 🤔🤔. Price was affordable (about 400k/person with shared steak, pizza, salad, chips and drinks). The big minus is really about hygiene.
Everything is perfect except the pasta, gnocchi is overcooked and the sauce was not impressive, I like the cheese truffle pizza and salad should be more rocket to balance the taste.
Fantastic for fresh pasta. Service was so wonderful. We enjoyed and felt the care form the staff.
