Rich, creamy tonkotsu done right. From my experience, Machida Shoten branches have consistently performed. They serve a well-emulsified tonkotsu broth with a smooth, creamy body and a lingering pork-forward savouriness that isn’t overwhelming. I'd recommend adding garlic paste, chilli oil if you prefer a black garlic broth feel. The noodles are springy and absorb the soup well, while the rolled char siu pork is thick, tender, and juicy with a 1:4 fat-to-meat ratio. The panfried gyoza has crisp browning with lightly charred spots and a generously filled, well-seasoned interior. Best enjoyed with vinegar mixed with garlic paste to cut through the richness. At 208,000 VND for a mini tonkotsu ramen set with gyoza and a drink, it offers quite the appeal.

I was at this restaurant today. When I ordered a dish, I didn't realize the broth was chicken, but the meat was pork, and I don't eat pork. I thank the restaurant staff for their understanding and offering to remake the dish without pork. The soup was delicious! It's nice to see customers treated so well! I highly recommend it!

Machida Shoten Japanese Ramen at Landmark 81 is hands down one of the best ramen spots in Ho Chi Minh City. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the cozy atmosphere of a true Japanese ramen bar — warm wooden interiors, red seats, and the smell of rich broth filling the air. Their signature Yokohama-style ramen is a must-try: thick noodles, creamy tonkotsu soup, and that perfect balance of umami and richness. You can customize everything from noodle texture to flavor intensity, which makes each bowl feel personal. The chashu pork literally melts in your mouth, and the seasoned egg is perfectly cooked every time. The staff are polite and efficient, creating an authentic Japanese dining experience even in the heart of Vietnam. Whether you’re craving comfort food or just want to taste a bowl of happiness after exploring Landmark 81, Machida Shoten delivers every single time. Highly recommended for ramen lovers!

After heading up to the Landmark 81 viewing deck, I came back down in search of lunch. The shopping center offers plenty of choices, but if ramen is calling your name, Machida Shoten is absolutely the place to go. The staff sets the tone right away with enthusiastic greetings and warm, attentive service. It’s lively, cheerful, and welcoming in a way that instantly lifts your mood, like any good Ramen shop should. I ordered the Yokohama Style Ramen with the gyoza-and-drink combo. For my first time trying this international chain, I was pleasantly surprised. The broth is rich without being greasy, smooth and well-emulsified, and the pork is braised nicely—though it could use a touch more seasoning or marinade time. The noodles and eggs were spot on, with just the right amount of noodles to balance the bowl. The karaage isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s solid and satisfying. I’m usually hesitant with large international chains, but Machida Shoten has earned a place alongside the rare few—like Jollibee—that I’m happy to return to. For a comforting bowl of ramen in a bustling mall setting, it hits the mark.

Itadakimasu! This food was so umai! I ordered the Chuka Soba Mini only for 99k and was fairly satisfied! The broth was rich and I loved that you can decrease the sodium content 🤞🥹. The staff was super nhiệt tình and very helpful :33
