If you like sukiyaki in Ho Chi Minh City? This might be the only place available. Good quality A5 beef from Japan at the highest quality. Price very reasonable if you’re familiar with Japanese market restaurant rate especially person like me from Singapore. Totally worth it. Exceptional cooking with super friendly and polite staff. Highly recommended.

It is a very tasty experience 😋 and the staff is really friendly with excellent service. We ordered sukiyaki. The beef just melt in the mouth. My 10 year old daughter can finish the whole bowl of rice because it just tastes so good with sukiyaki

I was surprised by the taste and quality of the food here. If there was one word to describe it, it would be “pure” - it wasn’t too spicy but the ingredients were perfectly blended together. We were given special care by the staff and chef. My set included an appetizer, main course and dessert. I ate very slowly because I wanted to enjoy the taste as long as possible. Because it was so wonderful.

Newly opened (November 2024) Sukiyaki restaurant in heart of Thao Dien off of Xuan Thuy. Simple 4 set choices consisting: 1) Sukiyaki (traditional), 2) Tomato based Sukiyaki (a bit spicy), 3) Shabushabu which is hotpot style, and 4) Signature set consisting both shabu 80g and sukiyaki 100g meat Must be 2 pax+. But you get a very private booth with your own AC and remote to control the temperature 😂 You must choose the same set and it is 1.8mil PER PERSON or 2.3mil for more g meat and the Signature set is 2.5mil. PER PERSON. That was the only downside for this restaurant if I must. A bit pricey for sukiyaki. But then again, you are getting 150g/200g of wagyu from Kagoshima black hair wagyu A5. We picked traditional Sukiyaki 150g and for 2 pax it’ll be in a single pot with 300g of meat total. Absolutely delicious!!!! Starts off with appetizer trio, a simple but refreshingly fresh salad then sukiyaki in “donabe 土鍋, a traditional clay pot, comes and you get to choose rice or udon in the end as a “shime締め” dish which is basically the closing dish, nothing heavy, nothing fancy yet super satisfying, to end your meal. Of course there’s desert included!! The yuzu sorbet and Houjicha (tea) ice cream were excellent. As I was secretly hoping my husband chooses the rice choice while I do udon and can still eat some of his, we both chose udon as “shime” in the end but what really impressed me was the owner came upstairs to deliver a small bowl of rice anyway, because he thinks we should try with some rice as it is premium and it was like HE READ MY MIND. Wow. Mind blown. The udon was sooooooo good too almost mochi-like texture complementing the flavorful broth, rich and wheaty. The owner has a store in Singapore of the same name as well and in Fukuoka but he generally goes back and forth between HCMC and Singapore. He came up with the spicy tomato based pot and apparently is quite popular but sadly I’m not a fan of tomato based soups or hotpot :( Try it as the server says it is very good also! The server is very experienced, who studied and worked at the owner’s restaurant in Singapore so her English is very good and she was very pleasant. Very hard to find this level of service and well spoken English in the F&B industry in HCMC. Absolutely amazing service both by the owner and the young server and we felt very very full in the end without ordering sides which had takowasaタコわさ, ika shiokara イカ塩辛 etc. just a few choices. Happy Plate!!! Cleaned out the pot!! For the month of January 2025, you could book in advance for LUNCH, at 50% off!!! Selective sets. But you need to book at least a day in advance because they normally DO NOT OPEN FOR LUNCH. I definitely will go back for lunch!!!
