The Story

About This Place

Rawberry occupies a narrow shophouse on Đỗ Quang, barely large enough for a handful of tables downstairs and a snug loft above, where soft jazz plays and the ceiling runs low enough that taller visitors will notice. The entire menu is built from cashews, dates, coconut, and nuts — no dairy, no refined sugar, no gluten — yet the results read like a reimagined confectionery aisle rather than a health food display.

The bar range is the clearest statement of intent: a Vegan Snickers on chocolate crust with cashew nougat and date caramel, a Bountiful Bar layered with desiccated coconut and dark chocolate coating, a Vegan Ferrero Rocher with hazelnut ganache inside a crunchy nut shell. The cake selection runs from a Matcha Mango — matcha sponge layered with Hòa Lộc mango and matcha cashew cream — to a Tangy Lemon & Raspberry on almond crust and a Medovik-style vegan honey cake built from thin biscuit layers and pastry cream. Portions are generous for the format, and the consistent note across reviews is balance: sweet without heaviness, rich without the density of conventional pastry.

The space seats perhaps eight to ten across both floors. The upstairs corner, with low beams and a few sofas, functions as a quiet retreat where a pot of herbal tea and one of the chocolate bars extends comfortably into an hour. Staff speak confident English, and the individually packaged cakes travel well as gifts — a practical advantage in a neighborhood full of boutique food shops.

At 4.8 across 135 Google reviews, Rawberry distinguishes itself not through novelty alone but through technical consistency. Plant-based desserts appear elsewhere in Thao Dien; few execute them at this level of precision across a menu this wide.

It is a very cute little café with raw desserts. Great service and good English is spoken. There are a couple of tiny tables outside and a couple of sofas with tables upstairs. Very comfortable and cosy. Be mindful of the low ceiling if you are tall. My Snickers bar was excellent and I really enjoyed it. On the other hand, my tiramisu was rather bland and it had a mismatched texture of different layers creating certain dissonance and lacking any resemblance to the original tiramisu. Despite this, I would highly recommend this place. Hopefully, the girls can improve the recipes as the place has great potential.

I visited Raw Bakery today and really liked it. It’s a small, very cute place with a calm vibe. They even have a little upstairs corner where you can sit, drink tea, and enjoy desserts quietly. I tried the peanut butter bar and the caramel cake with a pot of tea. Both were delicious (!)sweet but not heavy, very well balanced, and you can taste the effort and creativity behind them. The prices are a bit higher than other cafés I tried in Da Nang and Hoi An, but for the quality and the beautiful presentation, I think it’s fair. The staff were friendly and spoke good English, which made everything easy and welcoming. If you like raw vegan treats and want something a little special, I would recommend stopping by.

And incredible selection of raw vegan cakes! The place is super tiny but so worth visiting. The atmosphere is delight, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. I had mango - passion fruit mini cake and it was amazing. Together with mint herbal tea, which had a rich flavor. I enjoyed my chilled moment in the cozy nook upstairs. 100% recommend ♥️
