The customer service take a bit long to reply via social media. And personally, I dont think the quality is good enough compare to the price. Cinnamon roll is too small???? Omg 70.000vnd for a tiny portion and Brazillian cheese bread taátes similar to Korean mochi bread? Bc I try it for the 1st time so didnt expect it to be the same but pricier than Mochi bread. Overall, dont think I will ever order again ☹️.

The Butter Bake - Bakery in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
The Butter Bake occupies a compact, cleanly appointed shop on Nguyễn Bá Huân that has built a steady following among Thao Dien residents and expats who take their baked goods seriously. The canelé earns the strongest praise — reviewers who have eaten through bakeries across multiple countries single it out for its texture and depth of flavor, which shifts this from a neighborhood convenience into a specific destination worth the detour.
Brazilian butter bread draws weekend visitors for its aroma alone, and the banoffee and brownies have developed their own advocates among regulars. The cheese lineup — bánh phô mai chấm sữa and a Brazilian cheesecake — leans toward approachable rather than intensely rich, which suits the neighborhood's mix of Vietnamese families and international residents. A cheese board surfaces repeatedly across positive reviews as a reliable order. High-quality ingredients are called out independently by multiple reviewers, which aligns with the pricing: reasonable by most accounts, though a cinnamon roll at 70,000 VND draws occasional comments on portion size.
The space is small and simply decorated — warm rather than designed, and easy to linger in while waiting for an order. Staff are consistently described as friendly and willing to guide first-time visitors through the menu options. Open six days a week with extended weekend hours to 7:30 PM, closed Mondays. For a neighborhood not short on pastry options, this shop earns repeat visits on the strength of specific items rather than atmosphere alone.
Reviews
The cheese bread is good, texture is great and good portion to price ratio, the bread is a bit bland and I do think it could be a bit more flavorful as well as a bit cheesier and if that meant a slight increase in price I believe it’d be worth it.
I can't rave enough about this bakery. The bread is always fresh, with a perfect crust and soft interior. Their banacoff and brownies are the best I've ever tasted. Everything is made with high-quality ingredients and it shows.
Great taste and service. I love the cheese board so much 🤣🤣🤣
