Today was our first time visiting this restaurant for a year-end lunch celebration, and it was truly a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a variety of fresh and delicious dishes, and the drinks were equally excellent. Our company is Indian, and everyone was pleasantly surprised by how much they loved the Vietnamese food here. We were especially impressed by the warm hospitality and enthusiastic support from the manager, Mr. Nguyễn Trung. He even helped us take photos to capture our memories, which made the lunch atmosphere even more joyful and lively. Our boss and the Indian guests were extremely satisfied with the food and overall experience. He mentioned that he and the team will definitely return very soon. In their opinion, “Bụi” is the best restaurant — even better than many Vietnamese and Indian restaurants in District 1.

Quán Bụi Garden 2 - Vietnamese restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Quán Bụi Garden 2 occupies a quiet address on Trần Ngọc Diện in Thảo Điền, part of a city-wide chain that has earned a consistent following among long-term expats and corporate groups who return for the combination of breadth and reliability. The garden setting gives it a more open, relaxed feel than the surrounding streetside options, and the kitchen runs from 7 AM through 11 PM — making it one of the few full-service Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood that handles breakfast, lunch, and late dinner without a break.
The menu casts wide across Vietnamese cooking styles. The pomelo salad with prawns and pork draws repeated praise from regulars. Chả cá Lã Vọng is listed and ordered, though at least one table has noted it arrives plated rather than on the sizzling pan traditional to the dish. Spring rolls come out crisp. Tiger draft is pulled from a dedicated tap, and the Tequila Sunrise cocktail has accumulated enough loyal mentions to be considered a signature of sorts — an unusual fixture on a Vietnamese menu that signals the venue's comfort with a mixed local-and-international crowd.
Where this location stands apart from comparable spots in Thảo Điền is the service. Floor staff receive consistent praise for warmth, and manager Mr. Nguyễn Trung has been called out by name more than once for attentiveness with large groups — helping corporate parties photograph their meals and keeping year-end celebrations running smoothly. Indian business teams, multi-generational family gatherings, and weekly regulars all appear in the review record, pointing to a room that handles variety without friction.
Pricing is calibrated above street food and reflects a more polished presentation of Vietnamese cuisine — positioned at the intersection where expatriates feel comfortable and curious first-time visitors to the food can navigate a long menu without difficulty.
Reviews
Great food, superb service and excellent atmosphere! Really friendly staffs who serves with a smile.
I've been here 4-5 times and we even celebrated my nephew's birthday here, it's always been amazing. The staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly and I've had some good laughs with them. The food is delicious, I can't say enough good things about this place. The beers are always nice and ice cold and the Tequila Sunrise cocktails are the best. This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants by far. I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed. Thanks again!
Favorite restaurant in Saigon 🫶🏼 They have several restaurants in the city, but this one is definitely one of the nicest. I used to come here once a week when I lived in Saigon, and now when I return for work, it's a must! It's Vietnamese food, all super good, but presented in a more Western style. The prices are higher than Vietnamese street food, so it's a place for wealthy Vietnamese people or foreigners. The service is good, even though they don't speak much English, but it's easy to understand. Highly recommended!!!
Always a Saigon favourite- their food is delicious and the selection is extensive with yummy drinks too. A great place to let guests see the breadth and depth of Vietnamese cuisine
