We randomly went inside this restaurant/bar while waiting for the rain to stop. We ordered their focaccia with “chickpea dip” and to our surprise it tasted amazing that we had to order it again. We are pretty sure that their other dishes would taste great. Very friendly staff. Good priced drinks. Definitely worth dining in this place.

Located in the heart of Tao Dien, this cafe-restaurant offers a huge food and drinks menu, warm and cozy indoor seating and lovely courtyard as well. We ordered from the lunch menu. I chose the chicken fattoush salad while my dining partners chose the chicken pumpkin salad and the spaghetti bolognese. After ordering we were also served a bread basket and butter, which was a nice touch. I am not usually a fan of citrus flavours but this really worked. The orange flavours paired well with the chicken and avocado, the dressing wasn’t too heavy and it was overall balanced, delicious and very filling (important to note this salad is grain and bread heavy, so if you’re looking for a vegetable based dish, this isn’t it). My dining partners also enjoyed their meals. The service was attentive and welcoming plus communication in English was good, which is a big plus. Bottom line: Go here if you’re looking for a place that can cater to a large group with different tastes - and do it well.
I visited Mekong Merchant for the first time the other night and it was a very nice experience. Although we didn't have food, we really enjoyed the Prosecco and wine selection. That atmosphere was really chill. We'll definitely go back.
