The Story

About This Place

Kin Neko occupies a multi-story building on Tống Hữu Định, having grown over several years from a small café into a full pet-services venue housing both cats and dogs. Entry to the cat section runs around 119,000 VND and covers a drink and a light snack — reviewers specifically call out the croissants as better than expected, while the matcha and Thai milk tea have their own following among regulars.

The cats move freely through the space, and staff introduce them by name; photographs of each resident line the walls so guests can learn who's who before any cat settles into their lap. A small ground-floor shop sells cat candy, which visitors can use to engage the more independent residents. The environment is consistently described as clean and odor-free — a bar that cat cafés across the region don't always clear. One Egyptian hairless cat has her own devoted fan base, apparently partial to pressing against guests' clothing.

The crowd skews international — Singapore expats, European travelers, and long-term Thảo Điền residents feature prominently in reviews — drawn partly by the affordability relative to similar concepts elsewhere in Southeast Asia. Under four euros for fresh juice and unlimited feline company tends to exceed expectations for first-time visitors.

The atmosphere is genuinely unhurried; cats sleep, sprawl, and occasionally approach on their own terms. Staff stay attentive without hovering. There is a dog area on a separate floor, though at least one visitor flagged a window safety concern there worth noting for families with very young children.

For anyone in Thảo Điền looking for an afternoon away from the neighborhood's louder wine bars and rooftop terraces, this is a different kind of stop — calm, well-run, and anchored by drinks and pastries that hold up independently of the cats.

I visited the cat sectuon of the café only, it was nice, the cats look well taken care of and do as cats are supposed to. I sat with my fresh orange juice quietly in a corner and some of the cats came to sit with me. If you want you can buy candy at the small shop on the ground floor and feed it to them. Watched a mom with two kids (+/- 10 and 14 yo?) go nuts with cat candy, the cats loved it ofcourse. 119.000 (3,90 euros) for a fresh juice and company of many furry friends, not a bad deal if you ask me.

i’ve been a regular visitor of Kin Neko for a few years now and it’s been lovely to see them expand from a small cafe to a big building where they offer so many pet services! it’s easy to see that all the cats and dogs are well-loved here by the staff, they’re also really friendly towards visitors - the amazing drinks at the cafe here is an extra bonus ⭐️ we got the matcha and their thai milk tea!!

There are so many cats and you can know all of the names as they have photos of them on the wall . Most of them are so fluffy and adorable . There is 1 Egyptian cat that is hairless . She needs so much love and attention and kept rubbing her face on my hubby’s t shirt .

The windows on the right side when you enter the dog area is a death trap for kids. And I regret it every minute I let my boy walk around in there without me looking at him all the time. If you notice it, the windows can be opened. The dogs know how to open one of the windows and it creates a death trap for kids because it is only around 20 - 30 cm from the fake grass hill to the tip of the glass fence. It is where the dogs usually (during our time there) poked out his head too look out to the world. I couldn't expect it until it was almost too late for me when my boy was climbing up that fake grass hill. It was a heart attack. The window are made of glass and the fence is made of glass but only half way. It is very safety confusing and thos fake grass hills on top of the sitting areas along the windows can cause terrible accidents for kids.

Small Cafe with variety of cute cats. Staff are very friendly and will introduce the cats to you as you relax in the Cafe. A drink and snack is included in the entry cost and stuff will bring these to you as you relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
