The Story

About This Place

Blank Lounge Landmark occupies the 75th and 76th floors of Landmark 81, Vietnam's tallest skyscraper, commanding unobstructed sightlines across the Saigon River and the city grid stretching south toward District 1. The space divides between an interior lounge lined with floor-to-ceiling glass and an outdoor balcony that draws the heaviest competition for tables, especially from 5 PM onward when the sun drops toward the river horizon.

Arriving between 4:00 and 4:30 PM secures the best odds of a preferred balcony seat before the evening wave fills in — a timing detail that experienced visitors consistently flag. The drinks menu centers on Vietnam-influenced cocktails alongside coffee and light bites, with pricing that sits considerably above street level. A mandatory minimum of one item per person applies; most guests find this a reasonable exchange compared to paying for the separate observatory deck one floor above.

The crowd skews toward first-time visitors to Ho Chi Minh City and couples marking a particular occasion, with the sunset-to-dusk transition window as the clearest draw. Staff have received consistent praise for going out of their way to accommodate overseas guests seeking balcony placement even when sections appear full, though the floor can feel understaffed on busy evenings when a single host manages the door.

Drink quality and food execution earn mixed marks across reviews — the cocktails are creative in concept but inconsistent in execution, and several visitors note the bites do not match the altitude of the setting. The pull here is architectural first. What generates 2,500-plus reviews at a 4.5 average is the straightforward experience of sitting roughly 300 metres above the city, watching Ho Chi Minh City's lights come on below an open sky. Advance reservations are strongly advised, particularly on weekends and throughout peak tourist months.

We booked a table for two at 8:00 PM and arrived on time despite the heavy rain on the evening of March 6, 2026. Unfortunately, there was only one hostess attending to guests, so we were not accommodated until around 8:17 PM. When I mentioned that we had an 8:00 PM reservation, she responded rather rudely, saying that since 15 minutes had already passed, they could no longer give us the table we had requested. The tone of her response immediately affected the mood of the evening, especially since she appeared to be moving slowly with the tablet and accommodated four walk-in guests before assisting us. The view is undeniably amazing and is definitely the highlight of the place. However, the food selection was quite limited, and the music did not match the ambiance of the stunning skyline view. The playlist that night included songs like Bad Romance by Lady Gaga and other pop tracks, which felt out of place for the setting. While the prices were reasonable for a rooftop bar of this level, the overall experience was still somewhat disappointing. On our way down, we spoke with another couple who shared the elevator with us, and they mentioned having a similar experience. For a venue that markets itself as the tallest rooftop bar in the Vietnam, we expected much better hospitality and atmosphere. Overall, we would rate our experience 6/10. Of course, experiences may vary—this is simply our personal perspective.

We got a tip from a local to visit here instead of going up to the observatory floor. Overall happy that we did as views are amazing and it is a unique experience to sit in a cafe on the 76th floor. It was not too crowded when we visited so no need to wait. Understand the requirement to order 1 item per person and it is pricey compared to the local cafes which is also understandable. However, the drinks and desserts we ordered did not reach the heights of the cafe itself 😁 They did look great but were a bit bland flavour wise. Would still recommend to enjoy the views and sit in a unique and relaxed spot.

It's best to book as early as possible for peak season, as last-minute reservations are often unavailable. While ordering a drink here feels like a better deal than paying for the observation deck entry, the drinks were honestly terrible. I don’t mind paying for the view, but it's disappointing that there are no good options. I’d gladly pay more for something simple like soda or decent fruit juice. Don't come here if you're actually thirsty—it's quite a struggle.
