The Story

About This Place

Blank Lounge Landmark occupies the 75th and 76th floors of Landmark 81, Vietnam's tallest skyscraper, commanding unobstructed sightlines across the Saigon River and the city grid stretching south toward District 1. The space divides between an interior lounge lined with floor-to-ceiling glass and an outdoor balcony that draws the heaviest competition for tables, especially from 5 PM onward when the sun drops toward the river horizon.

Arriving between 4:00 and 4:30 PM secures the best odds of a preferred balcony seat before the evening wave fills in — a timing detail that experienced visitors consistently flag. The drinks menu centers on Vietnam-influenced cocktails alongside coffee and light bites, with pricing that sits considerably above street level. A mandatory minimum of one item per person applies; most guests find this a reasonable exchange compared to paying for the separate observatory deck one floor above.

The crowd skews toward first-time visitors to Ho Chi Minh City and couples marking a particular occasion, with the sunset-to-dusk transition window as the clearest draw. Staff have received consistent praise for going out of their way to accommodate overseas guests seeking balcony placement even when sections appear full, though the floor can feel understaffed on busy evenings when a single host manages the door.

Drink quality and food execution earn mixed marks across reviews — the cocktails are creative in concept but inconsistent in execution, and several visitors note the bites do not match the altitude of the setting. The pull here is architectural first. What generates 2,500-plus reviews at a 4.5 average is the straightforward experience of sitting roughly 300 metres above the city, watching Ho Chi Minh City's lights come on below an open sky. Advance reservations are strongly advised, particularly on weekends and throughout peak tourist months.

booked way in advance online in view of its popularity. staff were prompt with replies via email. upon reaching on a weekend evening, noted that there was a long walk in queue at the lobby. this place is definitely a place where you go for the view and vibes. managed to get a good view by requesting it during our advanced booking. the food selection was average; our favourite was the prawn tacos. salted egg cheesecake was quite the disappointment — the actual cheesecake part had a gelatin base and was not cheesy or creamy. they also appeared to be short staffed and we had to wait to be attended most of the time (it wasn’t an acceptable wait by any means, but considering the luxury of the location it was disappointing). didn’t manage to have a look at the view from the outdoor area as it was raining during our visit. the worst part of the visit was undoubtably the wait for the elevator up to the lounge. i understand that it is a shared elevator with the hotel, but waiting for the elevator and in between floors could be really long at times. in my experience, other sky bars have a private lift for public use that makes it quicker to go up… there is a paid instant photobooth in the lounge though which was unexpected. we enjoyed it as a bunch of young adults.

I think you should visit for some good eats and a good view! I did not reserve and just walked in and got sat in under 10 minutes! The food was good but expensive. I enjoyed the view and the outdoor seating. It was a bit windy which is something to keep in mind if you choose outdoor seating.

from above, you’ll be greeted with the city view of Saigon. also an excellent spot for Instagram worthy pictures! the menu consist of a variety of beautifully curated mocktails and cocktails. among the cocktails, we tried the Tequila Sour, Hanoi Mule, and Hue Long Island Ice Tea. for the side, we ordered their thick cut french fries in local spices which was delicious and addictive, perfect combination with the alcohol beverages. reservations are highly recommended. do note that the last order for food is 1030pm and for drinks is 1130pm!

Amazing view, great ambiance, and excellent service. One of the best places in Ho Chi Minh City to enjoy the skyline from above. Perfect for a relaxing coffee, sunset drink, or special evening out. Highly recommended!

The visit to Blank Sky Lounge at Landmark 81 was one of the highlights of our stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Even the way up feels special, and once you arrive, you immediately understand why this place is so popular. The view over the city is truly impressive, especially around sunset and later in the evening when the skyline, the river, and the bridges are illuminated. Depending on your table, you get a fantastic panoramic view over Saigon. The bar itself is stylish and upscale without feeling too formal. One thing I really liked is that the venue is spread across two levels, so you get different areas and perspectives. There is an elegant indoor lounge atmosphere as well as an outdoor rooftop area, which is especially popular for photos and for enjoying the skyline. The drinks were excellent. The Tequila Sour especially stood out: fresh, well-balanced, not too sweet, and professionally mixed. The other drinks we tried were also very tasty and beautifully presented. It is clear that this place does not rely only on the view — the quality of the cocktails is strong as well. Getting there is a little less straightforward than just taking one elevator, so it helps to know the route in advance. The best option is to take a Grab or taxi directly to the entrance of the Vinpearl Landmark 81 – Autograph Collection Hotel. Once inside, go to the Blank Lounge hostess desk, which is on the left-hand side when you enter. The hostess will help activate the elevator for you. First, you take the elevator to the 48th floor. Once you arrive on the 48th floor, turn right and switch to another elevator area located directly opposite the reception. On the elevator tablet, select “75F – Blank Sky Lounge,” then go to the elevator assigned by the system. This will take you up to the lounge. One important point: I would definitely recommend making a reservation. Blank Sky Lounge is very popular, and without a reservation there can be long waiting times, especially around sunset and in the evening. If you want a good table with a view, planning ahead is worth it. Overall, this is a clear recommendation for anyone looking for a special evening in Ho Chi Minh City. The combination of spectacular views, stylish atmosphere, delicious drinks, and an exclusive location makes Blank Sky Lounge at Landmark 81 absolutely worth visiting. It is not necessarily cheap, but for the overall experience, it is definitely worth it.
