Hải Sản Hoàng Gia CN Quốc Hương Quận 2 - Restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

This branch of Hải Sản Hoàng Gia is only about 500 meters from Thảo Điền metro station, making it very convenient to get to. The restaurant is clean and well maintained, and even though the seafood tanks are kept indoors, which is less common as many places use open spaces to avoid odors, there is no strong smell. Prices are higher than average, but the quality and freshness of the seafood make up for it. I especially like their cooking style. The seafood is prepared just to the right level of doneness, so it stays plump, juicy, and not dry. They also provide gloves, which makes peeling shellfish much easier. The staff are polite and efficient. After 7pm, the restaurant gets noticeably busier and quite noisy. Overall, the concept is more suitable for Vietnamese and Asian diners.

All seafood was super fresh, and delicious prepared and nicely presented. Service was amazing thanks to Thai Highly recommended. Highlight dishes: flounder and all the shellfish

Service is very good. They always come to clean the table with caring attitude. All the seafood is very very fresh and cook in a very good way to bring out its original flavor. We will come back for sure :)

Food: fresh and you can pick which one you like. For VVIP “ốc hương” (super big size), you have to dine in around dinner time Sat/Sun. As for taste, it hit/miss depends on the chef. I enjoy the salted egg flavor and thai flavor here but it was not that great in my last visit. The one before that was good. Taste also vary extremely by location as it taste so much better in district 7. For this location, I recommend to eat in weekend for super fresh and good food. Service: considering the price you pay, it is great but not at the level I expect at this price. But overall, it’s good service. However, parking is a major headache here, especially for car! Atmosphere: new and looking great. Nothing fancy to be wow’ed of.

The food is really tasty. The way they charge their customers make me feel a bit uncomfortable. They are charging each of the wet tissues you use, cooking fee for each of the dishes. I don’t mind paying a bit more but prefer these being written down on the menu rather than a surprised towards the end.
