I have quite a lot of experience going to spas, and this one really surprised me in a very positive way. It’s a classic Vietnamese-style spa: large, spacious, very clean, and with great attention to detail. Everything was excellent, and the overall experience was extremely positive — so much so that I went back for a second visit in the same week. The therapists are highly skilled, and the massage technique and overall experience are very good. You can choose between four different oil scents, and they offer a wide variety of massage options. During the treatment, they place a warm compress over your eyes and another one on the neck and cervical area, which adds a very relaxing touch. At the end of the massage, they clean off the excess oil so you don’t leave feeling greasy, which I really appreciated. It’s a very complete massage at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended, and definitely a place I’ll return to many more times.

Spa La Sen - Massage spa in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
La Sen Spa occupies a generously sized space on Xuân Thủy in Thảo Điền, built around the classic Vietnamese spa format: high-ceilinged rooms, meticulous cleanliness, and a garden atmosphere that buffers the street noise outside. It's the kind of place that converts first-timers into regulars — multiple reviewers report booking a second visit within the same week, and a meaningful share describe it as the best spa they've tried across Saigon.
The treatment offering runs from standard oil massage to 90-minute hot stone sessions, with four essential oil scents to choose from at the start of each visit. The hot stone work draws particular praise for its attention to chronic tension areas: backs, shoulders, and stiff necks are the focus, with pressure calibrated to individual tolerance rather than applied uniformly. The acupressure massage and combined head-and-neck treatments have developed their own following among clients who know to request therapists Tien and Huong by name.
Thao Dien has no shortage of wellness options, but La Sen distinguishes itself through scale and technical reputation. The rooms feel genuinely spacious, not repartitioned closets with ambient music piped in, and the senior therapists carry enough technique that loyal clients return on weekly schedules rather than treating it as an occasional indulgence.
That said, consistency varies across the team. A small number of reviewers flag sessions that fell short — pressure applied without adaptation, or therapists less attuned to client feedback. Booking with a named therapist is the safest path to the experience the five-star majority describes. Open seven days, 10am to 9pm, with Friday hours starting at 11am.
Reviews
Lovely peaceful massage spa in the heart of Thao Dien. Great massage therapist who really listened to my request for more or less pressure. So relaxing! Thank you 🙏
Once again La Sen Spa exceed my expectation, I’ve tried another spa near my place which ended gave me the most regretful decision when what you need is a relaxing massage after a stressful week. I took 90 minutes Hot Stone massage today and it was my 1st time trying with La Sen, to my surprise this type of massage suit me the best :) from the pressure, the technique as well as focus area at my back, shoulder and my stiff neck :( I feel super relaxed and refresh after massage and I just wish next weekend coming soon so I could have another massage. Thank you La Sen!
I was in this massage salon this evening, which is presented as a place of good standard, for a one-hour oil massage with medium pressure. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and far below what is expected for the price. The massage was performed by a male therapist and clearly lacked technique and basic logic. The pressure was exactly the same on all parts of the body, with no adaptation to different muscle groups. For example, the legs were barely massaged and felt more like simple strokes, while other areas received an unsuitable and inconsistent pressure. Applying the same pressure to the neck, arms, and quadriceps makes no sense in a medium-pressure massage. The massage was also very poorly structured. The therapist kept changing areas every few seconds, without continuity or depth, giving the impression of someone improvising without any real method massage of the body was really quick and I précise but .. More than 20 minutes were spent on a head massage that was frankly unpleasant, with rough and tactless movements at the back of the head. After removing the towel placed over my eyes, I noticed blurred vision in one eye, which is quite concerning. Overall, there was a serious lack of gentleness and care in every gesture: moving the towel, handling the limbs, washing the feet. Even at the beginning of the session, the towel placed under my feet was burning hot, which was immediately uncomfortable. I honestly do not understand the positive reviews given the service I received. At this level of quality, the massage is not only bad, it can become uncomfortable and potentially risky. Significant improvements are clearly needed.
Tien and Huong are soooooooo good, their hands are absolute magic, we have entered a new realm of peace and heaven thanks to both of them. The acupressure massage and head and neck massage are next level. Thank you guys as always and see you soon.
