Had a 60-minute full-body oil massage today. The therapist’s technique was great and really hit the sore spots — felt super relaxed afterward. The place is comfortable, with iced tea and watermelon when you arrive, and ginger slices with hot tea after the massage — such a nice touch. It was quite busy on Sunday so the staff seemed a bit rushed, but overall a good experience and I’d come back again.

Mandarin Spa@Massage - Spa in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
Mandarin Spa occupies a small, immaculately maintained space on Thảo Điền street — compact enough that it fills up on weekends, yet clean and calm enough that guests return for years. The Korean-style sauna is the clearest differentiator in the neighborhood: most Thao Dien massage spots do not offer one, and regulars describe it as genuinely calming rather than a novelty.
The welcome sequence is well considered. Iced tea and sliced watermelon greet guests on arrival; ginger slices with hot tea close the session afterward. These details separate the experience from faster-turnover chains nearby. The 60-minute full-body oil massage is the most-reviewed service — therapists are praised for applying real pressure, locating sore spots, and working through them rather than performing a generic routine. Foot massage draws a loyal following as well, with some visitors building trust with specific therapists over multiple years.
Nail services round out the menu, with promotional discounts running on those treatments. Walk-ins are accepted without a booking, which keeps things brisk on Sundays and occasionally means staff are stretched thin during peak hours. The Vietnamese staff are consistently described as friendly and patient — an important quality in a venue this size, where the interpersonal tone defines the whole visit.
There is no dedicated parking directly in front of the building, but a nearby spot covers that. The clientele leans toward long-stay expats, Korean residents, and local regulars who have built a routine around it. At 819 Google reviews and a 4.4 rating, the pattern is consistent: reliable technique, a setting stripped of pretension, and small hospitality gestures that make the difference between a transaction and an actual recovery.

Worst massage I’ve ever had.❗️This was my first time at this place we booked a one-hour full body couples relaxation oil massage My boyfriend felt pain immediately after the session, and I started feeling a lot of pain a few hours later, especially in my back and one arm. That night I couldn’t sleep because of the discomfort, and I woke up feeling worse😭. I had no pain before I came specifically for a relaxing treatment. From the beginning everything felt rushed. We arrived 15 minutes early, were given tea, and kept being asked if we were ready. We were quickly taken upstairs, rushed to change, and the atmosphere felt tense😖. Some staff were polite, but others were arrogant and unfriendly. No one asked about pressure level, injuries, or areas to avoid, which is basic in any professional spa 😡Overall, this felt careless and very unprofessional. And I wouldn’t recommend it. Adding a photo from our visit the dog was the only highlight
It was pretty wonderful. The facilities were very nice and clarks were kind. I hope to visit here again. I've visited many other spas and massages. I think this spa is the best in this area. Thanks for everything.
I’ve been there more than three times. The first time, I didn’t have a booking, so I got a foot and body massage. The therapist had an amazing technique. The next time, I decided to try a body massage with oil, and it was very relaxing. All therapists at Mandarin Spa are excellent.
Very relaxing and comfortable massage...and 40% off for Nails!! ❤️
