The Story

About This Place

Mandarin Spa sits on a quiet stretch of Thảo Điền street in An Khánh, operating daily from 8:30 AM until 10:30 PM—a schedule that suits both after-work decompression and lazy Sunday recovery. The space is small but deliberately so: clean surfaces, no clutter, a calm that sets in quickly after stepping off the busy street.

The Korean-style sauna is what regulars bring up first. It reads as authentic rather than decorative, and pairs naturally with the oil massage menu that draws most first-timers. The 60-minute full-body oil massage is consistently praised for technique—therapists are noted for identifying sore spots and working through them rather than skimming the surface. Return visits are common; several guests mention coming back three times or more, which is the clearest indicator of consistent execution.

Small hospitality details accumulate. Arrivals are met with iced tea and sliced watermelon. After the session, ginger slices and hot tea appear—gestures that feel considered rather than performative. Walk-ins are accepted, though Sundays draw a crowd and the pace can quicken on busier afternoons.

On Thảo Điền, where wellness options range from hotel spa pricing to budget-tier shophouse treatments, Mandarin Spa occupies a practical middle ground: a 4.4-star average across 819 reviews signals reliable quality without the overhead of resort-adjacent competitors. The Vietnamese staff draws repeated mentions for warmth and attentiveness throughout the visit.

One logistical note: street parking directly in front isn't available, but there is a lot nearby—a minor inconvenience in a neighborhood where most guests arrive on motorbike anyway. Nail services are currently offered at a 40% discount.

Had a 60-minute full-body oil massage today. The therapist’s technique was great and really hit the sore spots — felt super relaxed afterward. The place is comfortable, with iced tea and watermelon when you arrive, and ginger slices with hot tea after the massage — such a nice touch. It was quite busy on Sunday so the staff seemed a bit rushed, but overall a good experience and I’d come back again.

Worst massage I’ve ever had.❗️This was my first time at this place we booked a one-hour full body couples relaxation oil massage My boyfriend felt pain immediately after the session, and I started feeling a lot of pain a few hours later, especially in my back and one arm. That night I couldn’t sleep because of the discomfort, and I woke up feeling worse😭. I had no pain before I came specifically for a relaxing treatment. From the beginning everything felt rushed. We arrived 15 minutes early, were given tea, and kept being asked if we were ready. We were quickly taken upstairs, rushed to change, and the atmosphere felt tense😖. Some staff were polite, but others were arrogant and unfriendly. No one asked about pressure level, injuries, or areas to avoid, which is basic in any professional spa 😡Overall, this felt careless and very unprofessional. And I wouldn’t recommend it. Adding a photo from our visit the dog was the only highlight

It was pretty wonderful. The facilities were very nice and clarks were kind. I hope to visit here again. I've visited many other spas and massages. I think this spa is the best in this area. Thanks for everything.

I’ve been there more than three times. The first time, I didn’t have a booking, so I got a foot and body massage. The therapist had an amazing technique. The next time, I decided to try a body massage with oil, and it was very relaxing. All therapists at Mandarin Spa are excellent.
