This is our second time coming here, first time was during the soft opening and was good. This time, I’m disappointed. I ordered a detox juice and the menu says choose 2 and mix, so I chose two… I said apple and pineapple together, the cashier ended up charging me for 2 separate drinks.. also I ordered an egg coffee, said iced. They gave me a hot one and doesn’t look appealing at all… when I brought up the mistake with the cashier, she said she already put in the order and asked if I want to take it to-go rather than try and fix the mistake and give me a refund… we won’t be coming back. For those wondering if there’s a language barrier, no I ordered in Vietnamese and speak fluently.
MISO COFFEE - Coffee shop in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Miso Coffee occupies a ground-floor space in the Nam Anh building on Quốc Hương, one of Thao Dien's busier residential streets, opening at 6 AM every day of the week — earlier than many nearby cafes. The layout offers both spacious indoor seating and an outdoor section, giving regulars options depending on the weather and the time of day.
The menu draws from Vietnamese cafe tradition: egg coffee (cà phê trứng) is among the options, and a customizable detox juice section lets customers combine two fruit components — apple, pineapple, and presumably others — into a single glass. The tea selection also surfaces in reviews, giving non-coffee drinkers a reason to stop in.
With a 4.8-star average across 216 Google reviews, the overall reception has been strong, with the setting and atmosphere driving most of the praise. The combination of early hours, all-day availability until 10 PM, and a central Thao Dien address makes it a practical choice regardless of when the craving hits. The mix of indoor shelter and outdoor seating suits the neighborhood's blend of long-term residents who want a reliable daily stop and remote workers looking for a functional space that doesn't rush them out.
A handful of critical reviews flag inconsistencies worth noting: drinks running hotter than expected, flavors leaning sweeter than some palates prefer, and order confusion on the customizable juice menu. These suggest the cafe is still calibrating service as it grows beyond its soft opening period. That said, the majority of customers have left satisfied enough to rate it near perfect, which places Miso Coffee among the better-regarded cafes on a street that now has no shortage of options.
Reviews
Lovely place. Service is great. But the latte tastes like spoiled milk and was needlessly, extremely hot. Sat for 10 minutes before I could drink it.
Good coffee , nice environment... cozy place.. good location..
It’s really nice Vietnamese cafe. Delicious tea and cozy place.
Very spacious indoor and outdoor seating, great atmosphere but the drinks are not great, too sweet and condensed.
