This place is top tier. The staff is amazing, just like the coffee. Their egg coffee is a must try. The place is small but very cozy. It's a great spot for anything from remote work to spending an afternoon talking it up with friends!

BIN'S HOUSE COFFEE - Cafe in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
Bin's House Coffee sits on Thảo Điền street in An Khánh, operating daily from 6:30 AM — early enough to anchor a morning routine, late enough at 9 PM to serve the post-dinner crowd. The ground floor is deliberately compact: a handful of seats in the entryway, a longer communal table, a few solo spots. A second floor with balcony seating adds room when the downstairs fills. That smallness shapes the atmosphere — conversations carry, the pace is unhurried, and the owner's presence is a regular part of the experience.
The drink menu leans into Vietnamese coffee traditions with several house variations. Coconut coffee is the item that keeps regulars returning, built around shredded coconut rather than coconut milk — a distinction that divides first-timers but earns loyalty from those who've had it twice. Egg coffee and avocado coffee are reliable house options. The salted coffee has drawn specific praise for balance. An orange cold brew at 59K sits at the more experimental end, citrus-forward and espresso-backed — polarizing by design. Coffee beans are available to buy and take home, an uncommon gesture among Thao Dien cafes that signals how seriously the sourcing is taken.
The staff reputation is consistent across dozens of reviews: attentive without hovering, polite in a way that feels genuine rather than transactional. In a neighborhood that cycles through concept cafes with rotating aesthetics and seasonal menus, the approach here is quieter — no elaborate interior installations, just reliable coffee and a seat that's easy to stay in.
The clientele reflects that steadiness: remote workers occupying a corner for hours, small groups lingering over cards, regulars who've developed a standing order. It draws the kind of person who has been in Thao Dien long enough to stop chasing novelty.
Reviews
Cozy coffee bar in Thao Dien with a nice balcony to sit and relax with great tasting coffee. I especially like their coconut coffee 👍
Really lovely staff, super polite. The coffee is great too. The salted coffee really gave me a boost. If you're in the area, sit and hang out for a while. It's really chill. The only minor gripe I have is that there's way too much ice and not enough coffee, but still a pleasant experience.
My friend brought me there because it was his favorite coffee place. After getting the avocado coffee and spending some time in there. I understood why! The owner is very friendly and the vibe is so relax! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area!
I think there's more seating on second floor, but I stayed in the entryway area, which is pretty small. Two tables (one longer one, one smaller), with 3 or 4 other seats without a table. I've had an orange cold brew, but never an orange coffee (59K/$2.30), which is why I wanted to try it. The quality was ok. The size was good. The price is on the high end of mid-range coffee prices (which is not bad). I personally didn't care for it. It kind of tasted like Twister with a shot of espresso. I think they probably have stuff I would like, including coconut coffee, etc.
