The Story

About This Place

ĂnDeee WeeKend sits on a narrow side street in the quieter residential pocket of Thao Dien, a short walk from the Saigon River. It runs a buffet-format BBQ, the kind of setup where the bill stays reasonable regardless of how long the table lingers over the grill. The beef draws consistent praise across its 700-plus reviews: tender cuts with good flavor, best paired with the salted egg sauce that regulars name as the standout condiment on the table. Pork belly is available but divides opinion on fat ratio.

Logistics shape the experience here more than at most Thao Dien restaurants. The downstairs floor is the one to request — drink service reaches the table faster and the airflow is noticeably better than the upper level. Arriving around 5 PM rather than peak evening hours tends to mean more attentive service; when the room fills, the floor and kitchen both show strain. A reservation for Friday or Saturday dinner is genuinely necessary rather than a polite suggestion.

The crowd is a mix of local families and long-term expats looking for an unpretentious alternative to the pricier grills along the main Thao Dien strip. The buffet format encourages a relaxed, communal pace — shared plates, long tables, groups with no particular reason to rush. Delivery is available for those who have experienced the service and trust the kitchen without needing the room. For a neighborhood BBQ that trades atmosphere for value and delivers on its core promise of good beef at a fair price, the formula holds up.

I promise myself I would write a review after experiencing such professional service from AnDee WeeKend! Besides their excellent and delicious food delivery, I truly appreciate how they handled an issue I encountered. I accidentally transferred money to their bank account, which was difficult to track many daily transactions they had received within a day. However, they resolved it very quickly, and I received my refund within minutes. Highly recommend this barbecue spot to anyone who looking to hang out with friends.

So, I totally ignored the negative reviews and I am glad I did! The owner seems to have really listened and made some big improvements. A top tip: Book a table, especially if you want to enjoy dinner. The best time to go is around 5 PM. It might seem early, but the staff are much more attentive during off-peak hours. Trust me, when the place is packed, it gets a bit chaotic. Another tip: Ask to sit downstairs. It is more convenient for getting the drinks and the air is fresher. They offer both a la carte and buffet. The buffet prices range from VND 168.000 to 209.000, depending on the time of day and the day of the week. The higher-tier buffets have some extra goodies like bacon and crab egg salad, soy sauce fried chicken, Korean beef stripe, An Nam beef steak, and shrimp tempura with fruit cream sauce. You can also add a hot pot (+VND 39.000/pax) or drink buffet (+VND 29.000/pax) for extra. I tried their basic beef dishes, which were pretty good. The slices were thick and well-marinated, although a bit fatty in some parts. They cook it on a little gas stove with foil and margarine, which can get a bit greasy, especially in the air-con. The staff keep swapping out the foil though. Besides the usual meats, they have got some fun snacks too. Lots of tables were ordering crepes, and they looked pretty good. And do not forget the side dishes! They are tasty and you can grab as much as you like. The drinks are mostly self-service. I really liked the Thai milk tea. Just a heads up, you have to ask the staff for Coke. Overall, Ănđeee is a great choice for a cheap and cheerful Korean BBQ in Thao Dien. It has got a modern, youthful vibe and is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or family.

The meat is too chewy, staff too busy. But very fair price.
