Roast & Smoke는 Nguyễn Văn Hưởng에 위치하며, 텍사스 스모크하우스와 이탈리안 트라토리아를 접목한 메뉴를 선보인다. 스모크 브리스킷이 calzone, burrata, 씬크러스트 pizza와 나란히 자리한다. 메뉴의 중심은 단연 브리스킷이다. 오너 Trung이 직접 소고기를 공수해 훈연하며, 손님들은 깊은 스모크 링과 살살 풀리는 식감을 두고 진짜 텍사스 바비큐와 견주는 평가를 아끼지 않는다. 그는 종종 테이블을 돌며 소고기 산지와 나무 선택, 온도 관리, 레스팅 과정을 직접 설명하는데, 이는 홍보용이 아니라 장인 정신이 그에게 진심으로 중요하기 때문이다.
메뉴는 상호명이 암시하는 것보다 훨씬 다채롭다. 브리스킷 calzone과 브리스킷 sandwich는 단골들이 나란히 꼽는 대표 메뉴로, 훈연육의 매력을 각기 다른 방식으로 풀어낸다. 가장자리가 바삭한 페퍼로니 씬크러스트 pizza, mac and cheese, Caesar salad, pasta, 신선한 burrata까지 갖춰, 취향이 다양한 일행도 무리 없이 식사할 수 있다. 크래프트 맥주와 와인이 음료 리스트를 완성한다.
공간은 아담하다. 야외 좌석은 초록빛 녹음 사이에 자리해 점심 시간에 제격이지만, 저녁에는 모기를 언급하는 손님도 간혹 있다. 실내 공간은 더욱 아늑하고 쾌적하며, 해가 진 후에는 여유롭고 편안한 분위기의 손님들이 모여든다. 여러 리뷰에서 따뜻하게 언급되는 반려동물 Leo와 Luka는 단골 바 같은 정겨운 분위기를 자아내며 재방문을 부른다. 다른 도시에서 사이공을 지날 때마다 이곳을 반드시 들르는 단골도 있을 정도다.
Roast & Smoke는 매일 오전 7시에 문을 열며, 금요일과 토요일에는 오후 11시까지 영업한다. 이른 아침 커피 한 잔부터 늦은 주말 저녁 식사까지 두루 활용하기 좋다.
One of my all time favourites! I'm based in Da Nang but I always come here every time I'm in Saigon. Delicious smoked meats, friendly staff, great craft beers and wines. The owner, Trung is often around and an absolute A+ guy. He has a few exceptionally well trained pets who are very friendly as well! They make for good company if encouraged :) Highly recommended.
Roast & Smoke Thảo Điền is a cozy spot with great vibes and even better food. I tried the beef brisket, pasta, burrata, and mac and cheese – everything was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and super satisfying. The brisket was tender and smoky, the pasta comforting, the burrata fresh and creamy, and even the mac and cheese felt like a proper dish, not just a side. Service was friendly, the ambiance is warm and relaxed, and it’s definitely a place I’d come back to. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food, great ambiance. They have good food and great beer. Among all the things my favourite is Leo and Luka, they're adorable. Would really visit again for the food and for Leo n Luka.
The roasted meat was super tasty—juicy on the inside with a nice crispy edge. Really well-seasoned, not too salty, just right. The pizza was solid too: thin crust, crispy bottom, and plenty of cheese. The pepperoni was the star though—spicy, a little crispy on the edges, and full of flavor. Definitely a satisfying meal if you’re craving something hearty and comforting.
