Julia Cafe는 Nguyễn Văn Hưởng에서 이어지는 좁은 골목 끝, JP Serviced Apartment 1층에 자리하고 있다. 입구는 녹음으로 가득하다—화분에 담긴 나한송, 블루 데이즈, 재스민이 통로 양쪽을 따라 늘어서 있으며, 안으로 발을 들이기 전부터 기대감을 높이는 의도적인 연출이다.
매니저 Bi는 뚜렷한 실력으로 이 공간을 운영한다. 에스프레소 라인업은 Thao Dien의 이름난 카페들과 비교해도 손색이 없다—리뷰어들이 다른 스페셜티 카페와 견주어 긍정적으로 평가하는 flat white, 단골들이 이름을 콕 집어 언급하는 시트러스 콜드브루가 있다. V60 메뉴는 에티오피아 원두를 사용하며, 가격대가 부담스럽지 않아 처음 시도하는 이들도 편하게 접근할 수 있다. 콤부차는 상큼하고 산뜻한 맛으로, 카페인을 피하는 이들에게 좋은 대안이 된다.
베이커리는 전적으로 오너의 작품이다—페이스트리와 빵 모두 직접 만들며, 음료와 같은 수준의 정성이 담겨 있다. 공간 한편에는 피아노가 놓여 있으며, 손님이라면 누구나 자유롭게 연주할 수 있다. 작은 공간임에도 테이블 간격이 여유롭고 콘센트도 충분히 갖춰져 있어, 노트북을 가져온 이들이 여러 잔을 거듭하며 오래 머무는 경우가 많다.
Nguyễn Văn Hưởng를 따라 밀집한 카페들과 이곳을 구별 짓는 요소는 단순하다—골목 안쪽까지는 도로 소음이 들어오지 않는다. 평일 아침에는 두 사람이 몇 시간을 머물러도 다른 손님이 오지 않는 경우도 있다. 화장실은 꾸준히 청결하게 유지되는데, 리뷰어들이 이를 구체적으로 언급한다는 사실 자체가 주변 다른 곳에서 실망한 경험이 있음을 시사한다.
영업시간은 대부분의 날 오전 7시부터 오후 11시까지로, 더위가 기승을 부리기 전 아침 시간대의 거점으로도, 번화한 대로가 붐비기 시작하는 저녁의 조용한 피신처로도 충분히 활용할 수 있다.
Very good cafe located on the ground floor of an apartment building. The quality of the coffee is on par with some of the best cafes in town, and I really enjoyed my flat white. The space is chill, comfortable, and nicely set up, making it easy to relax for a while. Their kombucha was also very good, especially if you enjoy sour drinks. A solid spot for both coffee and something refreshing.
Bi (like 'bee') runs this adorable cafe, tucked away at the back of a green hem. His charm, kindness, and technique have me coming back as often as I can! Lots of outdoor and indoor space - great for catching up with a friend, getting cozy with a good book, or even getting some work done!
Quiet hidden and cosy coffee shop at the first floor of a service apartment building, located at the end of a hem (small street). Ideal for a break from the city, quiet talk or focus time to work with your laptop. They now provide V60 with quality beans from Ethiopia for reasonable price, appreciate the effort from the owner!
My favorite coffee shop for calm reclusive afternoons. Tucked down a quiet street so there is very little noise from traffic. They make a wonderful citrus cold brew that is extremely refreshing and tasty. Selfishly I hope this cafe doesn't become too popular because its greatest appeal is its solitude 😁
A charming little cafe that few people seem to know about. I visited on Thursday morning and sat there until noon, yet my friend and I were the only customers. The entrance is adorned with countless pots of lush green plants and flowers, including podocarpus, blue daze, jasmine, and more. Even from a distance, it is a delightful sight. Inside, the space is lovely and impeccably clean, including the restroom. Despite its small size, it is well-arranged and feels surprisingly airy. I must also commend the friendly staff and the truly delicious drinks. For example, juice, a seemingly simple beverage, can be surprisingly difficult to combine the ingredients to create a truly outstanding flavour. But the Spring juice at Julia exceeded my expectations, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour, and distinct yet harmonious flavours. My friend’s latte was also accompanied by a dainty slice of biscotti, a thoughtful touch. If only they still served pastries, this would be my regular morning haunt.
