Roast & Smoke nằm trên đường Nguyễn Văn Hưởng với thực đơn pha trộn giữa nhà hun khói Texas và trattoria Ý — brisket hun khói sánh vai cùng calzone, burrata và pizza đế mỏng. Brisket là linh hồn của quán. Chủ quán Trung tự tay chọn nguyên liệu và hun thịt, thực khách mô tả vòng khói ăn sâu vào thịt và kết cấu dễ xé từng thớ, xứng đáng với những so sánh Texas chính gốc. Anh nổi tiếng hay dành thời gian ngồi cùng bàn với khách, kể về nguồn gốc thịt, loại gỗ hun, kiểm soát nhiệt độ và quy trình để thịt nghỉ — không phải để quảng cáo, mà đơn giản vì cái nghề này thực sự quan trọng với anh.
Thực đơn linh hoạt hơn cái tên gợi ý. Brisket calzone và brisket sandwich thường được nhắc đến cùng nhau như hai món nổi bật nhất — hai cách trình bày để thịt hun khói toả ra trong những ngữ cảnh khác nhau. Pizza đế mỏng với pepperoni giòn viền cháy, mac and cheese, Caesar salad, pasta và burrata tươi hoàn thiện thực đơn, đủ để cả bàn với nhiều sở thích khác nhau đều hài lòng. Craft beer và rượu vang điểm thêm cho danh sách đồ uống.
Không gian quán nhỏ. Khu ngoài trời ngập cây xanh, thích hợp cho bữa trưa, dù thực khách buổi tối đôi khi có nhắc đến muỗi. Khu trong nhà kín đáo hơn, sau khi tối trời thường thu hút đám đông ở lại lâu hơn với không khí ấm cúng hơn. Hai chú thú cưng thường trú — Leo và Luka, được nhắc đến với cảm tình trong nhiều đánh giá — góp phần tạo bầu không khí quán quen kiểu bar, khiến khách cứ muốn quay lại. Không ít người biến đây thành điểm dừng cố định mỗi lần ghé qua Saigon từ các tỉnh thành khác.
Roast & Smoke mở cửa từ 7 giờ sáng hàng ngày, kéo dài đến 11 giờ đêm vào thứ Sáu và thứ Bảy — đủ để phục vụ từ ly cà phê buổi sáng đến bữa tối muộn cuối tuần.
One of my all time favourites! I'm based in Da Nang but I always come here every time I'm in Saigon. Delicious smoked meats, friendly staff, great craft beers and wines. The owner, Trung is often around and an absolute A+ guy. He has a few exceptionally well trained pets who are very friendly as well! They make for good company if encouraged :) Highly recommended.
Roast & Smoke Thảo Điền is a cozy spot with great vibes and even better food. I tried the beef brisket, pasta, burrata, and mac and cheese – everything was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and super satisfying. The brisket was tender and smoky, the pasta comforting, the burrata fresh and creamy, and even the mac and cheese felt like a proper dish, not just a side. Service was friendly, the ambiance is warm and relaxed, and it’s definitely a place I’d come back to. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food, great ambiance. They have good food and great beer. Among all the things my favourite is Leo and Luka, they're adorable. Would really visit again for the food and for Leo n Luka.
The roasted meat was super tasty—juicy on the inside with a nice crispy edge. Really well-seasoned, not too salty, just right. The pizza was solid too: thin crust, crispy bottom, and plenty of cheese. The pepperoni was the star though—spicy, a little crispy on the edges, and full of flavor. Definitely a satisfying meal if you’re craving something hearty and comforting.
