Michelin đã ghi nhận nhà hàng này — giới ẩm thực hay nhắc đến điều đó — nhưng gian bếp tự thu hút thực khách bằng chính thực lực của mình, kéo đến cả những người ăn chay thuần thành lẫn những ai không ăn chay, và tất cả đều quay lại nhiều hơn họ nghĩ.
Phong cách nấu nghiêng về ẩm thực miền Trung với đôi lần pha chút hương vị Thái, một biên độ giúp Du Yên có chiều sâu hơn hẳn quán chay thông thường. Cơm chiên cà tím — cơm đơm trong quả cà tím đã khoét rỗng, đậm vị khói thơm — đã trở thành món gắn liền tên tuổi nhà hàng. Bánh Huế, một đĩa tổng hợp những chiếc bánh bột gạo hấp nhỏ với nhiều loại nhân khác nhau, cho thấy sự thành thục của bếp với phong cách ẩm thực miền Trung. Nồi Đất Nấm Đầu Khỉ cũng có nhóm khách trung thành riêng, còn Gỏi Cuốn Cánh Sen được trình bày với sự tỉ mỉ cho thấy bếp coi trọng thẩm mỹ. Hầu hết các món đều có thể làm hoàn toàn thuần chay theo yêu cầu, khiến thực đơn linh hoạt hơn vẻ ngoài.
So sánh thường được nhắc đến nhiều nhất trong giới cư dân lâu năm ở Thao Dien là với Hum, nhà hàng chay cao cấp chỉ cách vài bước chân. Du Yên thua Hum một bậc về độ tinh tế trong bày biện, nhưng bù lại bằng hương vị không thua kém là mấy và mức giá thấp hơn đáng kể — đây là lý do vì sao nhà hàng luôn đông đúc với các gia đình người nước ngoài, giới chuyên gia địa phương và thực khách chú trọng sức khỏe, thay vì chỉ những người ghé một lần rồi thôi. Các món được nấu theo từng order và phục vụ nóng; nhịp độ ở đây không vội vã, và gọi điện đặt trước là điều nên làm với ai có lịch trình bận rộn. Mở cửa mỗi ngày từ 9 giờ sáng đến 10 giờ tối, Du Yên hoạt động như một điểm dừng suốt cả ngày — yên tĩnh hơn vào buổi sáng và nhộn nhịp khi đến giờ ăn tối.

The menu is diverse, offering plenty of choices, and every dish is thoughtfully prepared. What impressed me the most was the service. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, making the entire dining experience feel warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great vegetarian cuisine and outstanding hospitality.

From the moment the dishes arrive at the table, it’s clear this kitchen takes its craft seriously. The food is visually stunning — each plate is composed with real intention, the kind that makes you reach for your phone before your chopsticks. But more importantly, it delivers on taste. The flavours are clean and precise, never muddy or overworked. Unlike so many vegetarian spots that compensate for meatlessness with an aggressive hand on the oil bottle, Du Yên keeps things genuinely light. You leave feeling nourished, not weighed down. Ingredients are fresh and you can taste it — there’s a liveliness to every dish that only comes from good sourcing and careful preparation. The staff deserve a separate mention: attentive, warm, and genuinely polished. A welcome change from the indifferent service you sometimes encounter even at good restaurants. One thing I want to highlight that rarely gets said: the restaurant has made a deliberate choice to create its ambience through design and hospitality rather than leaning on Buddha statues or Buddhist iconography as decorative props — a practice that’s unfortunately common across the vegetarian dining scene in Vietnam. Using sacred imagery as atmosphere-setting décor always struck me as thoughtless at best and disrespectful at worst. Du Yên sidesteps this entirely, and the result is a dining space that feels serene and considered without appropriating religious symbolism for aesthetic effect. That kind of thoughtfulness says a lot about the people running this place. Highly recommended for vegetarians, the vegetarian-curious, and anyone who simply wants a meal that’s as honest as it is beautiful.
Wow truly delicious and beautifully prepared vegetarian food. We ordered too much! Spring rolls, stir fried Pho, braised tofu and mushrooms, lions mane soup, seaweed soup and two Mango Passionfruit Ginger smoothies. Amazing flavors. Can’t wait to come back. The decor is calming and soothing as well.
We sampled several dishes (didn't get around to capturing them on camera). The dishes were decent but overly sweet for our liking. Would like the fried rice if it was not so sweet! The flavors failed to leave a lasting impression. The cost was somewhat high in comparison to other places offering more flavorful options. Somewhat let down by the experience!
