Machiya Coffee - Coffee shop in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

Well, drinks are okay, w that price I expect more than that. Likewise, the customer services need to improve, employees are rude as hell, not greeting, just have attitude towards customers. Japanese concept coffee shop but what I feel is the hood vibe from the employees as they yell to each other, to customers, etc. It is just off, go somewhere else to save your time, money, and peace of mind. Don’t recommend this place at all.

One of the coffee place that brings the vibes from Japan in Saigon that you should visit soon! They offer a wide variety of drinks from matcha to coffee along with pastry. We tried kumquat matcha in which the kumquat jam a bit overpowered the matcha latte. Meanwhile, the cold brew though was not strong in coffee but tasted and smelled very strong jn lychee and rose flavour. The croissant was decent and balanced the two drinks. Overall, this place is suitable for meeting up and catching up on the weekend rather than studying and working in this cafe. A small tip for you is to visit here during the early morning hours for better service and atmosphere as it would get very crowded on the weekend.

Good place to chill for a while if you’re around Thao Dien. The drinks were decent, the space was calm enough to sit and relax, and the pigeons outside somehow added unexpected main character energy. 🕊️☕ Prices are a bit high for what you get, and nothing was particularly mind-blowing, but overall it’s still a pretty okay spot for slow afternoons, casual chats, or pretending to be productive for 2 hours.

I ordered a cold brew, and it had a rich, deep flavor. The café has an atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional Japanese house, but it gets crowded during weekend afternoons. You might want to be a bit cautious around the dog outside, looked like an aggressive dog.
