Chevap was such a cool surprise in Vietnam that we actually went back a second time with my wife before leaving. The food was honestly pretty close to the real deal and you can tell there’s a lot of heart behind it. From the cevapi to the bread and flavours, it really brought back that comforting taste of home. The whole vibe inside felt very Balkan too. Soft Balkan music playing in the background, artwork from around the Balkans on the walls, and just that warm familiar atmosphere that instantly makes you feel comfortable. There’s something special about being on the other side of the world and still being able to sit down and enjoy food from your motherland. Refreshing, nostalgic, and genuinely one of our favourite spots from the trip.

First time coming here and we really loved both the food and the atmosphere. The staff was super friendly, she gave us great recommendations on what to eat. We’ll definitely come back next time

We were a bit homesick so we decided to have a taste of the balkans in HCMC. Chevap was great! We got čevapi and uštipci as well as sobska salad and cabbage salad. To start we also ordered rakija, which was pretty good. Čevapi were amazing, not to mention the lepinja bread and grilled veggies. Uštipci were yummy as well, but they could be a bit spicier, because you couldn’t really feel any spiciness even though it says theyre spicy on the menu. You have to take kajmak as an extra, but i reccomend it because it was really good. Sopska salad was delicious. For dessert we ordered turkish coffee and it really tasted like home. I really recommend you try it. The only thing we missed was maybe some more balkan music for the atmosphere, as the songs that were playing sounded a bit more like ambient spa music (they were nice, just not the same vibe). I would also like to mention the staff, who were all really nice :) Overall, we really reccomend Chevapi!!

Went here for lunch with a mate and honestly didn’t know what to expect since it was our first crack at Turkish/Balkan food. The owner was an absolute legend and helped us pick everything. We started with the two types of burek, grilled paprika, which was a ripper way to kick things off. For mains, we got the meat platter, heaps of variety with chevap, sausages, patties, and some stir-fried veg on the side. Proper hearty stuff, definitely comes hungry kinda meal. He also suggested we try Loza (Rakjia-style wine) fair warning, it’s strong as! Not for the faint-hearted, but worth a go for the experience. Finished it off with a Turkish coffee, which was surprisingly light and a nice way to wrap things up. The spot itself is tucked away at the end of a no-through road, so it’s a bit of a hidden gem. Chill, laid-back vibe, perfect if you’re keen for a relaxed feed. All in all, if you’re into meaty meals and a cruisy atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a go.

My Balkan husband wanted to taste a bit of home, and he was super surprised that some dishes tasted even better than back home! The waiter was very kind and attentive, and he even gave us some great tips for our trip. Svaka čast! 😁 We truly enjoyed everything and will gladly come back!
