1. What you get for the price doesn't seem worth it. 2. As an American who lived in NY I can tell you this isn't NY style banana pudding. There's no vanilla wafers which is probably the best part and it was what I was looking for. 3. The cinnamon roll was tough and they didn't provide enough icing. 4.the lemon pound cake was so dry, it was awful. If someone is paying around 100k VND per little dessert they should get a good product and I don't consider any of these good. I'm very shocked that after seeing all these reviews, most people loved it.

soo coffee & bakery _ DQ - Coffee shop in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Soo Coffee & Bakery on Đỗ Quang draws a steady crowd across its three floors with a combination that is harder to find in Thao Dien than it looks: reliably good espresso made with fresh Da Lat milk, and a pastry case with enough creativity to bring regulars back. The latte has been singled out by visitors from coffee cultures as far as Korea—creamy and balanced, with a clean bitter finish—suggesting that the sourcing and technique behind the bar are taken seriously rather than assumed.
The baked goods span practical and indulgent. Baguette sandwiches filled with burrata, sundried tomato, and basil pesto or prosciutto with fresh mozzarella sit alongside a pastry rotation built around a few strong flavor themes: pistachio appears in the croissant, the raspberry roll, and the Dubai chocolate cookie, which layers pistachio cream with fried kadaif inside a chocolate shell. The egg tarts have developed a following of their own, pulling repeat visits specifically for them. The dark chocolate cheesecake is described as dense and rich but lighter in texture than it appears.
Soft serve ice cream rounds out the menu, though it has drawn occasional criticism for running icier than expected. At 100,000 VND and up per pastry, prices sit at the higher end of neighborhood cafés, and value perception varies depending on what is ordered.
The space itself is calm and unhurried. Staff are consistently described across reviews as warm, attentive, and happy to make recommendations. Three floors means more seating than the ground level implies, though peak hours still fill the room. For a district with no shortage of well-designed coffee shops, Soo Coffee holds its position through genuine coffee quality and a pastry program that gives people a concrete reason to return.

Reviews
내돈내산 I didn’t expect the coffee to be outstanding, as I assumed it would be similar to many other cafés. I ordered a latte, and the taste was actually quite similar to the latte I usually drink in Korea. The fresh Da Lat milk was rich and creamy, balanced with a slight bitterness from the coffee. I’ve returned a few times, and for me, the latte is the drink I would recommend here. Since I also run a café abroad, I personally prefer coffee with a more distinctive character, created through carefully blended formulas using different single-origin beans. This place is more suitable for take-away. Sitting in can feel a bit inconvenient. There are a few floors upstairs, but the layout feels quite cramped, making it difficult to work comfortably. Once one or two groups come in, the space becomes very noisy. Just something to keep in mind.
Really chill and calm cafe. Great drinks and small desserts including cakes and ice cream. A sweet gem in the neighbourhood. Staff are friendly and welcoming
2nd visit. Soft serves icier than last try. Pricey, and its not Hokkaido creamy smooth level either. Haven't tried other pastries yet.
Good coffee Super cute place Staff are so niceeeeeeeeee Best ice cream tho. Dark chocolate and affogato are highlight
