The Story

About This Place

Quán Bụi Bistro runs from early morning through late evening on Lê Thánh Tôn, covering phở bò breakfasts, midday spring roll lunches, and full dinner service without breaking stride. The two-floor layout is worth knowing in advance: street-level fills quickly, while the upstairs dining room is specifically noted by regulars for its interior quality — worth requesting when the ground floor is at capacity.

The menu spans a wide range of Vietnamese staples alongside hot pots, barbecue dishes, and an extensive roster of fresh-pressed juices built around tropical produce: passion fruit, lemongrass lime, fresh coconut, pomelo. One appetizer that consistently surprises first visits is the fried quail eggs coated in rice — a preparation few international diners have encountered elsewhere. Portions run generous across the board; pricing comes in higher than street stalls or nearby markets, though the setting and serving size account for most of the difference.

Service earns more praise than criticism across the reviews. Staff members Thinh and Minh are cited by name in separate accounts for attentive table management. Dinner service can grow uneven when the room reaches capacity — a recurring note from a handful of reviewers — but the kitchen moves faster than expected: spring rolls have arrived within five minutes on busy evenings, with mains following in under thirty.

The crowd is mixed: international travelers and Saigon locals, drawn partly by an English-translated menu that removes one of the common friction points at traditional Vietnamese restaurants. With nearly 900 Google reviews holding at 4.4 stars, the consistency across high visit volume is the clearest signal about what to expect. Cash and local cards are accepted; American Express is not.

We came for Pho Bo breakfast. It was okay but the beef was tough and also had a lot of fat. For the price (50% higher then other places in D1) it is not worth it. Service was okay but not friendly. The place is cute and decorated well. I wouldn’t return.

Nice food. Not wow but good. Large pancake. Nice spring rolls and aubergine dish. Pork stew not my favourite flavours. relaxed vibe. Paid slightly more than other meals we’ve had in Vietnam/saigon but not too pricey.

We paid Quan Bui 2 visits on our last trip to ho chi minh. One for lunch and the other for dinner. Food was 100% fresh and tasty, highly recommend that you try it at least once. This place lacks service at dinner time , we got ignored for sometime, others came in after us and were served first. The interior upstairs is beautiful.
