Great spot in D2! A truly great restaurant in District 2. The space is airy, cool, and filled with lots of greenery, giving it the perfect vibe of a premium Italian restaurant. The service was good and attentive. We ordered the pizza, chicken salad, and seafood pasta, and everything tasted delicious. Although the prices are a bit on the higher side, the excellent food quality makes it totally worth it. I will definitely be coming back if I have the chance!

Pendolasco - Italian restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Pendolasco has built one of the stronger reputations in Thao Dien's Italian dining scene — 1,665 Google reviews at 4.5 stars points to consistent execution over time rather than a single viral moment. The kitchen makes its own mozzarella and stracciatella in-house, a commitment that shows clearly in the Il Duomo pizza, where those cheeses are layered with salami Milano, pistachios, and hot honey in a combination that moves confidently past the standard trattoria formula.
The pizza menu is broad without losing focus. A Quattro Formaggi pulls together housemade mozzarella with gorgonzola, targonzola, and parmesan; the Foresta Nera adds fragrant sausage and truffle paste; and the Diavola Pendolasco — the restaurant's own variation — doubles down on heat with spicy salami Napoli alongside stracciatella and tomato sauce. For those who want something off the pizza rotation, the Wagyu Beef Ragu slow-cooked in a proprietary Waggyuki sauce signals ambition beyond a purely pizza operation.
The address on Tống Hữu Định sits within reach of Thao Dien's weekend foot traffic, and the 11 AM daily open makes it as viable for a relaxed lunch as for an evening out. In a neighborhood with no shortage of Italian options, the housemade cheese program and the care taken with the classics are what set it apart — the Margherita is built on homemade mozzarella, fresh basil, and tomato sauce rather than the cost-cutting shortcuts common at mid-tier spots. The volume of reviews suggests a loyal return clientele across both expat and local diners, not just passing visitors.

Always be my place to have Italian meal and have great wine
Top notch. Guys you have to try their carbonara. Best one in Vietnam by far. It was so good i forgot to take any picture :((. The restaurant is so nice, lush green in daytime and romantic at night. Very reasonable price as well. Best meal of my Saigon trip. Im definitely coming back. Fantastic.
Not that great about food, serving staff is lack of training I guess. She served us the dish by putting it right on my left hand without saying anything. Salad served without source either any guidance as and they suppose I must know that the bottles putting on table in advanced are balsamic vinega that I need to mix it myself.
Just went to this place yesterday. We had a chicken salad, a quattro formaggi pizza and a pumpkin soup. The chicken was quite dry, but the pizaa and the soup were good, really tasty. The food was really amazing, the price we paid was fine for the portions. I think this restaurant should improve more their serving style, because the waitress was "not much friendly" to us. I would like to visit this restaurant in the future.
