I’m from cali and this is my first time in Vietnam this is the first place I ate at and it didn’t disappoint. I’m someone who loves burgers this has got to be the best burger I’ve ever had outside of the United States. The pasta bolognese was exceptional so amazing and if it’s not salty enough for you, they have salt and pepper. You can add yourself if you want to add a little bit more to it. Then we had their curry with Katsu that had chicken and cheese inside of the Katsu. For me, it was a little spicy, but if you like spice, it’s perfect. It’s so delicious. Amazing flavors. And last for dessert, we had their French toast with the miso caramel and whipped cream on top. I have never had any flavor like that before the French toast in the US is so so different to me because of my American taste palette it’s not as sweet as I’m used to, but it is something that I would eat again if someone ordered it I’m glad I tried it though. I will be going here again tomorrow trust💚 also please get their apple cider ginger beer. It’s the best beer I’ve had outside of Japanese beer. also, they’re pineapple apple juice with honey is so refreshing and perfect for the hot weather.

Bon - Asian Soul Kitchen - Fusion restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

About This Place
The menu at Bon reads like a chef's personal obsession with collision — Vietnamese soul food pushed through Korean, Sichuan, and Japanese lenses, then plated with the confidence of someone who actually knows all three cuisines. The phở beef short rib anchors the experience: braised for five hours in pho spice-infused broth and served alongside smoked mashed potatoes, it's the kind of dish that rearranges expectations about what Vietnamese comfort food can be. The bò kho bolognese pasta threads house-made pappardelle through a slow-cooked beef-and-pork ragù seasoned with traditional bò kho spices — a concept that sounds gimmicky but delivers. Dan Dan Cappuccino Udon arrives in sesame tonkotsu broth with mapo tofu, preserved mustard greens, and thick udon absorbing Sichuan numbing heat.
The restaurant sits on Tống Hữu Định, a quieter residential stretch in Thảo Điền away from the neighborhood's busier dining corridors. The space runs an open kitchen, stocks board games for groups inclined to linger, and offers outdoor seating on request. A sign reading 'no bitchin in my kitchen' has earned its own review mentions.
The crowd skews international — expats, traveling visitors, and locals who've made the smash burger a weekly habit. The 120g beef patty on a house-made potato bun with American cheese and roasted onion is straightforward execution done right. The Sichuan Fried Chicken Sando and Korean Fried Chicken Wrap with house-made tortilla follow similar logic: solid technique applied to familiar formats.
Closed Mondays, open 11 AM to 10 PM the rest of the week. With a 4.9 across nearly 200 Google reviews, the consistency is clearly not accidental.

Treated myself for Valentines day here at Bon. The service was lovely and so was the food. I have been dining at Bon for quite a few time now and today feels like a good day to leave a good review for a good restaurant. Dan dan noodle is always my go to but the veggies and yogurt dish is my new favorite here. Definitely a MUST try!
We came to Bon for dinner with my friend, and the food was really good. They reinterpret well-known dishes with Vietnamese and Asian flavors. The staff was lovely and kindly arranged an outdoor table for us upon request. I’d especially recommend the chicken sando, bò kho bolo, and the beef ribs with mashed potatoes.
Food here is on another level. Well executed asian fusion soul food with nice selection of drinks. Dandan cappuchino udon and oyster sauce seabass were to die for. Im definately coming back and suggest everyone to pay a visit here. Definately one of the most unique restaurants in HCM.
A nice cozy brunch spot in the area. Food taste great, Asian-Western fusion style. A few boardgame/card games to enjoy with friends. Not too crowded and comfy seating, open kitchen. Could be a relaxing place for some food and fun.
