Kocha Matcha Spot은 Trần Ngọc Diện의 아담한 공간을 차지하며, 음료에 들어가는 재료를 중요하게 여기는 말차 마니아들을 꾸준히 끌어모은다. 내부에는 직원들이 음료를 만드는 모습을 바로 앞에서 볼 수 있는 바 카운터가 있고, 바깥에는 호지차를 천천히 음미하기에 충분한 그늘 아래 테이블 몇 개가 자리한다. 실내 수용 인원이 약 30명이다 보니 토요일 오후에는 자리가 금세 찬다. 분위기는 시간대에 따라 조용한 편에서 활기찬 편으로 달라지며, 평일 오전은 비교적 여유롭다.
이곳의 주역은 말차 자체다. 직원들은 처음 방문하는 손님에게 Basic Matcha Latte를 권하며, 단골들은 저품질 파우더에서 나오는 쓴맛 없이 부드럽고 균형 잡힌 맛이 난다고 말한다. Meiji 우유를 사용하며, 말차와 우유의 비율은 묽다기보다 의도적으로 설계된 느낌이다. 특별한 경험을 원하는 그룹이라면 2L 자이언트 말차 라테를 선택할 수 있는데, 네 명이 다 비우기도 만만치 않다고 전해진다. 메뉴의 디저트류는 당도가 낮고 가볍게 구성되어, 음료와 경쟁하기보다 함께 즐기기에 적합하게 조율되어 있다.
실내 전반에는 일본식 감성이 깔려 있다. 미니멀한 인테리어, 깔끔한 라인, 시각적 잡음이 없는 공간. 주문은 각 테이블의 QR 코드를 통해 이루어지며 결제는 음료 수령 시 진행되어 카운터 앞 동선이 자연스레 줄어든다. 바쁜 시간대에는 서비스에 대한 평가가 엇갈리며, 자리가 다 차면 응대가 느려진다는 의견도 나온다. Kocha Matcha Spot이 들어선 Thao Dien 일대에는 카페가 넘쳐나지만, 말차를 메뉴의 한 항목이 아닌 하나의 독립적인 카테고리로 삼아 이처럼 집중적으로 다루는 곳은 흔치 않다.

Kocha Matcha Spot is a lovely place for matcha lovers seeking quality and calm vibes. The matcha is rich, smooth, and well balanced, showing clear attention to authenticity and preparation. Desserts pair perfectly with the drinks without being overly sweet. The minimalist, cosy atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a quiet moment with a cup of good matcha.
It's located in a nice zone and an unique vibe. Matcha's pretty tasty. I'm into it.
Nice cozy place. Minimalistic decor. Constant flow of customers on a Saturday evening. We got the 2L giant matcha latte cup to try and the affogato. It was decent given they seem to use high grade matcha and Meiji milk. Too big of a portion for 4 to finish. Their regular sized matcha are quite nice also. Icecream affogato is acceptable but not really special or stands out.
They have many kind of matcha variants, and many style of drink creation, the vibe also warm
The cafe has a Japanese vibe in and out. Inside, they have tables and bar, where they make the matcha drink in front of the customers. There are outdoor tables too. The space is not so big. Probably can cater 30ish guests inside. When I came, it was a Saturday close to lunch time. The cafe was packed and a bit noisy with crying baby or kids banging on the window backsound. I'm not sure if weekday is less packed. I asked what was the recommended menu, the cashier said Basic Matcha Latte. So I went with that, with 50% sugar, and fresh milk (Meiji) for 89k VND (as of Sept 25). To me, my drink doesn't have much difference with several other matcha served in some cafes I went to in HCM, even in VT. Safe to say, good matcha drink price I have been having in HCM is around 70k VND and above. Is the drink decent? Yes Will I purposely revisit the store? Most likely no
