Hoshiyo Dining Lounge - Japanese restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

Hoshiyo Dining Lounge is a fantastic choice for a date night where the atmosphere and the "vibe" are the priority. We choose here to do a birthday event. (definitely) The service is stellar, and you will certainly have a pleasant evening. If you're going for a revolutionary culinary journey, you might find the flavors a bit too restrained, but for a beautiful night out with a view that justifies the price of admission, it’s a solid contender. Reflection. There is a slight gap between expectation and reality at Hoshiyo. When you are sitting in such a glamorous setting with impeccable service, you expect the food to have a certain "edge" or a signature bold flavor. While everything was technically "correct" and enjoyable, some dishes felt a bit safe or lacked the culinary punch suggested by the ambiance.

📍GLAMOROUS japanese fusion with GRAND view! Dining at Hoshiyo was a nice experience. All staffs were welcoming & supportive across the service. After a few glance, we opted for their Breaking Dawn set & extra teriyaki fires. Fries were straight cut, crispy, and nicely drowned in teri sauces. Appertizer highlight was definitely Hotate mentaiko - the rich fatty taste of cheese & mentaiko blends well with the umami scallop. For main course, grilled salmon & iberico pork were both pleasant. However, be expected that the portion is smaller than average but the taste & view does worth the experience.

Japanese restaurant with great night view and interior. The building is more Japanese than Japan itself, somehow you could feel the atmosphere of “ kill bill” They have all varieties of Japanese food with good look & feel. I have a big question mark for the taste but could be a nice restaurant for the anniversaries. Full of well-dressed Vietnamese couples.

Cool place, especially for pictures with Landmark 81 as the backdrop. The view alone already makes it worth a visit. They also have live music with someone playing instruments, which adds a nice vibe to the evening. Service is very good and attentive. The atmosphere is lively and stylish, though it would be even better if the lights were a bit dimmer to make it feel more intimate. Food is alright, nothing bad but not the main highlight either. Overall, this feels like a place people come to for the ambiance, service, live music, and photos rather than specifically for the food.

Good food, especially the bacon salad and steak & prawn. Lamb chops are good too. Vibrant environment with nice view. Waiter, Phat, is super friendly tentative. Recommended.
