Buongiorno - Italian restaurant in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

Their pizza is very good, can be quite heavy but very very close to Italian food. Chewy dough which I love so much. We also had risotto and it’s 10/10. Roasted potatoes were really good, fully cooked, perfectly seasoned with a touch of parmesan. This was my second visit. Price is super reasonable, not outrageous like 4P’s Pizza and I honestly think those who chose 4P is missing out on what pizza actually is. Buongiorno’s sauce and toppings actually blend together and compliment one another. I love that they marinate the olive oil with rosemary garlic and chili. They have chili powder which certifies they know what they’re doing honestly. Unlike 4P’s they gave me a bunch of crap when I ask for something spicy. The table setting needs a little upgrade, it would be perfect if they add candles to it since the lightning is quite dark.

Fairly good enough dining experience , i tried tagliattelle with truffle sauce , it was marvellous , the pasta was cooked perfectly, however , my friend who tried pasta with shrimp and he was quite upset because from previous reviews they will serve whole shrimp but they served only shrimp meat . Plus, we did not notice that they allowed pets in air con restaurant , so it made us feel uncomfortable. In general, the food and service was okay at that price , so we might come back

Honestly i have known this place for a very long time and never had a chance to try it until today. First of all UNBEATABLE price for a fair enough quality that they brought to the table. Carbonara with cream was good just how I expected maybe just need alittle bit of salt will do. (As they have it on the table). I believe this carbonara is more suitable for most of Asian palate as we like it with cream. Chicken Salad is very basic with olive oil and balsamic dessert, However the chicken is very dry… Ribeye, even tho its med-rare its alittle bit chewy but for 205k i can’t complain about it. But staff should ask customer how would the customer like it to be cooked and the dish comes with side dishes already etc. But overall was good, definitely would come again.

We were tired, hot, and hungry when we walked into this cool oasis. Gentle Italian music playing in the background, mouthwatering pizza aroma wafted over as we sat down and enjoyed a cold beer. This place is popular on a Friday night! We enjoyed the complimentary bread and butter and enjoyed some people watching while waiting for our meal. The pasta with clams is a standout dish (and perfectly al dente). We sadly won’t be in this area again but were very charmed.

Updated on Nov 2021: I haven’t been here for a while and I was surprised coming back when they had pizzas on their menu and I would love to try. And yes, I like it as much as I like any other dishes here. Crispy and tasty. And also they’ve upgraded this chilly oil or it has been there since day 1 but I didn’t notice. I love it when everything stays the same after one-year open or it’s getting better :) Newly opened Italian restaurant. Small, simple but the food quality is really good. I had lunch last week and suddenly that day they were very busy and a little bit slow to serve food but it doesn’t matter cause it’s worth waiting. Just one staff to handle everything but she’s doing okay. Price is reasonable. For better service, you should make a reservation. They also offer deliver by Grab or Now (I don’t remember). Will come back for more and I want to support places like this.
