Micro Boulangerie - Bakery in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

Very impressed with the quality of the products here. So fresh, so good. Yes it's expensive, but for such quality, I have no problem paying the price. Excellent service too. Just need to eliminate plastic bags!

Run by Japanese baker and many local ladies in preparing, sorting and selling. Different types of breads, baguettes and pastries. Guaranteed quality and you pay for it. Located in the middle of Thao Dien but chance to find parking for car and motorcycles

At 90k for a croissant and 150k+ for a white sourdough loaf, I honestly think Micro is overpriced. The quality is just above average. The croissant texture is good but lacks flavor from the fermentation. The white sourdough is too white and there was too much dusting flour used, resulting in a sandy texture at the bottom. Good to try if you're in the neighborhood but would not recommend to travel the city to try.

I went to Micro Boulangerie, said to be Saigon's No. 1 bakery, for the first time. The store was clean, and the staff were very courteous. I forgot the name, but personally, my favorites were the Saigon baguette and the chocolate Danish (or was it a croissant?). Besides that, the cinnamon muffin had an amazing texture.

I tried all the bakery shops in the neighborhood and this is for me the best. We had the cream cheese cranberry bread, fig and walnut, and chocolate croissant. All really good. They are very generous with the fillings and toppings. Lovely friendly service. Definitely my favorite bakery in Thao Dien now.
