Breadventure mở cửa ba ngày mỗi tuần — từ thứ Sáu đến Chủ Nhật — tại một mặt bằng nhỏ gọn trên đường Đỗ Quang, gần đoạn phố chạy ra phía sông. Lịch mở cửa hạn chế phản ánh triết lý làm bánh có chủ đích: sản xuất từng mẻ nhỏ theo phong cách Pháp. Bánh mì và bánh ngọt thường hết sạch chỉ vài tiếng sau khi mở cửa lúc 9 giờ sáng, và hàng người đã bắt đầu xếp chờ trước khi cửa kịp mở.
Flan Parisien là món được khen ngợi đồng đều nhất. Có hai vị mè đen và socola, bánh mang kết cấu mịn như lụa và độ ngọt vừa phải — đúng hồn Pháp chứ không phải bản phỏng theo. Phiên bản mè đen đặc biệt được chú ý bởi hương thơm sâu và đằm. Phần ăn sáng — baguette kèm bơ và mứt — tuy giản dị nhưng được làm với cùng sự tỉ mỉ, và với nhiều khách quen, đây là lý do đủ để ghé lại mỗi tuần. Bánh sourdough thuộc nhóm lựa chọn giá phải chăng nhất trong khu vực mà không đánh đổi chất lượng; nhiều người đánh giá xếp loại này dẫn đầu cả quận. Croissant có độ giòn xốp đúng chuẩn, hương bơ đậm đà. Cinnamon roll có kích thước nhỏ hơn thông thường, đôi khi được bán theo cặp, hương thơm cân bằng mà không gây ngán.
Không gian khá chật. Trong giờ cao điểm, một nhân viên phục vụ cùng lúc cả khu ăn tại chỗ lẫn hàng mua mang về, tạo ra nhịp phục vụ khá nhanh. Đến sớm gần giờ mở cửa sẽ có đầy đủ lựa chọn và không khí thoải mái hơn — quán mang cảm giác nhẹ nhàng, không vội vàng trước khi đông khách. Cà phê ở mức ổn: có latte sữa yến mạch, tuy nhiên đồ uống chỉ đóng vai trò phụ bên cạnh bánh.
Breadventure thu hút lượng khách trung thành đa dạng — từ cư dân Thao Dien, người nước ngoài, đến khách vãng lai vốn đã tính sẵn sắp xếp buổi sáng cuối tuần xoay quanh quán. Danh tiếng của tiệm được xây dựng chủ yếu qua những lần khách quay lại, chứ không phải nhờ biển hiệu hay vị trí bắt mắt.
Flan parisien has a smooth texture with a rich chocolate flavor and isn’t overly sweet. I’d highly recommend sharing it, though, as the portion is quite large and can feel a bit heavy if eaten alone. The coffee is aromatic and safe — nothing too adventurous, but pleasant. The space is calm, light, and fairly chill, might get crowded sometimes and i actually saw some ratatouille. The café is only open on weekends. Nothing particularly standout, but overall a decent experience.
Best sourdough in town - and comparably more affordable than nearby sourdough bakeries. Include some pastries, which are excellent too! Do mind the line though, they can sold out after a few hours.
The Weekend Secret Bakery at the end of Xuan Thuy: If you are looking for French breadmaking at its absolute finest, Breadventure is the spot. Tucked away in a cozy bylane off the latter end of Xuan Thuy (near the river), this place is a weekend-only spot run by a Frenchman and a team of skilled Vietnamese bakers (I state based on observation only). My picks: The Flan is simply to die for. If you order one thing, make it this. They offer a simple breakfast with bread, butter and jam. Also features a Special Menu that rotates. The sourdough and pain au chocolat are top-tier. The ambience is nice. An open-air setting with tables under the trees perfect for a slow weekend start (although the crowded setting may feel uncomfortable for some people). Best time: It gets very busy in the morning. To be fair, Thao Dien is generally crowded to varying degrees on weekends, so be prepared to stand in a queue if you arrive at peak breakfast time. 11 - 12 noon is a relatively quieter time.
I tried the Flan Parisien today; they had chocolate and black sesame flavors. I went with the black sesame, and it was delicious! The sesame aroma was rich, and it was perfectly sweet. The cinnamon roll was also excellent. It had a medium-strong cinnamon fragrance, and the sweetness was just right. The staff kindly gave me two because they are on the smaller side
The pastries were very fresh and yummy. Very authentic. Highly recommended. Do a stop here for the pastries. If u dine in, get serve the baguette with butter and jam.
