So I ran into the place during their little party gig on the 25th and it was fun. Had the Oklahoma Smash and for my first smash burger it was delicious as heck! Juicy, great flav combo, awesome potato patty. Enjoyed the single combo and was def satisfied with it! Happy to come back around!
I’ve tried several smash burgers here in HCMC. The burgers at Crust are smashing (lol). I had the Jalapeño crust burger. The beef was juicy with the right amount of crust and sear. The cheese was ooey gooey and made every bite creamy deliciousness. The bun was by far the best I’ve had in Saigon. Totally unexpected. The jalapeños added some nice flavor but not too spicy. I highly recommend Crust if you’re looking for a delicious burger.
Crust absolutely delivered. The smash burger was juicy with perfectly crispy edges, the fries were hot and crispy, and everything tasted fresh. Great quality, friendly service, and easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in Ho Chi Minh City. Took a few bites before I took a picture because it smelt so good. I’ll definitely be back.
The burger was good. Buns were soft. The patties were flavorful and crusty. You do get the nice mouthfeel of a crispy bite from the thin patties. The French fries were perfectly crunchy and they had a good truffle sauce. The staff is extremely accommodating. My friends kept asking for more sauce and then they wanted lettuce and tomatoes added which the staff accommodated. Next time, I’ll make sure I ask for lettuce and tomatoes too. I don’t know why it wasn’t an obvious addition for me until I saw them do it. Because I got an extra 3rd patty with truffle fries, the flavor did start to get a little salty when combined. The coke didn’t cut the flavor for me. I should’ve got the other drinks they offered. I wish they had fresh lemonade to cleanse the palate because once your mouth is full of flavor, bites start to taste a little salty especially when you’re eating slow to talk to friends.
One of the best smash burgers I’ve had in Saigon (if not the best). And the truffle fries were amazing too, super crispy. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
