Thảo điền quán은 Trần Ngọc Diện에 넓직하게 자리 잡고 있으며, 바람이 잘 통하는 지붕 있는 야외 공간과 에어컨이 갖춰진 실내 공간으로 나뉘어 있다. 8인 테이블도 서로 불편함 없이 여유롭게 앉을 수 있는 구조다.
주방은 모던 일식을 바탕으로 실험적인 시도를 이어간다. 체리 토마토, 베이컨, 와사비를 곁들인 새우 꼬치는 한 접시에 담겨 나와 진심으로 놀라움을 선사하고, salmon carpaccio와 sashimi 새우는 날 생선을 즐기는 단골들을 위한 메뉴의 중심을 잡아준다.
스테이크는 꾸준히 호평을 받는 메뉴다. 부드럽고 잘 숙성된 소고기에 블랙 페퍼 또는 치즈 소스 중 하나를 선택할 수 있는데, 대부분의 손님들은 블랙 페퍼 쪽을 택한다. 구운 오리고기도 단백질 메뉴의 한 축을 담당하며, 리뷰어들이 특별히 언급하는 딥핑 소스와 함께 제공된다.
4인 세트 메뉴는 과하지 않으면서도 주방의 다양한 면모를 제대로 경험할 수 있는 구성이고, 유럽이나 호주 레스토랑 물가에 익숙한 방문객 입장에서는 음식의 완성도에 비해 가격이 상당히 합리적으로 느껴진다.
분위기는 오후 8시 이후 DJ가 등장하면서 눈에 띄게 달라진다. 여유로운 저녁 식사의 무드에서 한층 활기찬 나이트아웃의 에너지로 전환되는데, 대부분의 저녁은 R&B가 분위기를 이끈다. 볼륨은 짚고 넘어갈 만한 요소다. 축하 자리나 함께 즐기러 오는 그룹에게는 잘 맞지만, 테이블 너머로 긴 대화를 나누고 싶은 이들에게는 다소 부담스러울 수 있다.
서비스는 내내 세심하고 여유롭게 이루어진다. 외국인을 겨냥한 레스토랑들이 무난한 퓨전이나 웨스턴 컴포트 푸드에 머무르는 경우가 많은 Thao Dien에서, 이 곳은 일식에서 영감을 받고 저녁 시간에 집중하며 셰어 플레이트 중심으로 구성된 뚜렷한 자신만의 영역을 개척해가고 있다.
I celebrated my cousin-twice-removed’s birthday at Zumwhere, and it was such a great experience! 🎉✨ Zumwhere has an amazing atmosphere; perfect for relaxing and really enjoying the evening. The food was super tasty and full of flavor. On top of that, the music was on point. They were playing R&B while we were there, and I was vibing the entire time. 🎶 Great food, great music, great energy. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!
The food was decent, nothing exceptional but not bad either. However, the experience was really overshadowed by how loud the music was. It was almost impossible to have a normal conversation without raising our voices, and after a while, it just got frustrating. We got really upset and had to leave early. It’s a shame because the place has potential, but the volume completely killed the vibe. If they could just turn the music down a bit, it would actually be a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
The place is quite spacious with clearly separated zones, though the fabric on the chairs looked a bit worn and faded. We went as a group of 3 and ordered most of the restaurant’s signature dishes. The highlight was definitely the steak – the beef was tender and juicy, and my friends personally preferred it with the black pepper sauce over the cheese sauce. The roasted duck was also excellent, especially with the dipping sauce that matched perfectly. For starters, the taro salad was a great choice – crispy fried taro shreds paired with shrimp. The sushi rolls were tasty, but the fried rice wasn’t impressive much, a little bland for my taste. Overall, the display of all the dishes was beautiful. The tiramisu was creamy and quite satisfying.
Zumwhere Thao Dien is a great spot for gatherings and group hangouts. The atmosphere is lively, especially after 8 PM when the DJ starts playing, which adds a fun energy to the space. The food was great, well-seasoned and perfect for sharing. Overall, a solid place to unwind with friends in a vibrant setting.
Difficult to try 9 plates in a single restaurant and enjoy every single one. All the food was well cooked, presented and fresh. Special mention for the prawn skewer with cherry tomatoes, bacon and wasaby sauce, an unusual combination that surprise your taste buds. If you choose the menu for 4 people you will have enough food of great quality ad an affordable price especially if you come from Europe, Australia or USA. Good selection of beers and wines. Staff always professional and gentle. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, good for a celebration, a romantic date or a friend reunion. If you are in district 2 you must try.
