OKRA FoodBar는 Thảo Điền의 Lê Văn Miến 코너에 위치하며, 저녁 영업만 운영하는 레스토랑으로 2025년 미쉐린 셀렉티드에 이름을 올렸다. 주방은 베트남의 풍미 논리를 폭넓은 조리 기법에 접목하는 방식을 중심으로 구성된다. 그 가장 선명한 예시가 phở bò tartare로, 국물을 이루는 향신료 구조—시나몬, 팔각, 카다멈—를 날 다진 쇠고기에 농축하여 바삭한 카사바 칩 위에 담아낸다. 섬세하고 대화를 불러일으키는 요리다.
메뉴는 여럿이 나눠 먹는 방식에 최적화되어 있다. 매주 목요일에는 하롱 퍼시픽 굴을 2시간 무제한으로 즐길 수 있는 프로모션(1인 360k)이 진행된다. 씨푸드 구성은 토마토-다시 비네그레트, 도비코, 알리움 오일로 완성한 참치 crudo와 단골들에게 꾸준한 호평을 받는 문어 risotto로 이어진다. 레스토랑 이름의 유래가 된 태국식 그릴드 오크라는 tom yum과 캐슈-코코넛 페스토, 건새우를 조합했다. 브라운 버번 버터와 pork floss로 마무리한 street corn은 익숙한 요리를 기대 이상으로 한 단계 더 밀어붙이는 주방의 성향을 잘 보여준다.
바도 그 자체로 주목받는다. 칵테일 프로그램은 처음 방문한 손님들로부터 구체적인 언급이 이어질 만큼 인상적이며, 직원들은 전문적인 기술 지식을 갖추고 잔 속 재료를 기꺼이 설명해준다는 평가를 받는다. 칵테일 리스트와 함께 사케도 제공된다.
공간은 시각적으로 의도된 설계가 돋보인다—고대비 연출과 잦은 사진 촬영으로도 잘 알려져 있다. 생일 파티 등 기념 자리에 잘 어울리며, 실제로 리뷰에 생일 그룹이 자주 등장한다. 셰어링 플레이트 구성은 저녁 내내 테이블의 활기를 유지시킨다. 전반적인 분위기는 Thảo Điền의 캐주얼 레스토랑가보다 격이 높으면서도, 테이스팅 메뉴 룸 특유의 딱딱한 격식은 요구하지 않는다. 화요일 휴무이며, 금요일과 토요일은 오후 11시까지 운영한다.
✨A fusion casual dining restaurant with a focus on seafood, vegetables and grill. We came here to celebrate a birthday and ordered the sharing set menu. Everything was insanely gooddd— especially the beetroot carpaccio and the risotto 🤌🏻 The drinks were great as well, we had sake and cocktail. Highly recommended this 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Came here due to all the great reviews, but felt the meal was average at best. - Great oysters happy hour deal, but it was served bare bones. There was no vinaigrette or anything to eat it with, besides lime. - Duck + Gnocchi: everything was cooked well, but the flavors didn’t really blow me away. - Egg pasta: this was tasty, but the overall price of everything I was just expecting more. Overall, food was cooked well. The flavors just didn’t blow me away. Also, service could have been better. So many workers there, yet they were not attentive at all.
First time in Vietnam, me and my boyfriend came here to celebrate my 20th birthday. Couldn’t have asked for a more special and memorable experience. The food was incredible, I would highly recommend the potato dish and the okra (my boyfriend never liked okra until he tried the dish here!). We sat at the bar and had some of the most unusual and delicious drinks we have ever had by the bartender named Kyuong! He was so passionate and knowledgeable which really made all the difference. This place is in the Michelin Guide for a reason, would highly highly recommend!! 🤭
OKRA in Thảo Điền is impressive - the dishes are creatively crafted, with flavors that perfectly balance Vietnamese and Western palates. The space is beautifully designed and photogenic, making it great for both dining and photos. Staff are attentive and friendly. Definitely a place worth coming back to.
very good food! came here for restaurant week dinner for their 5-course menu. super great value from the restaurant week promo. my favorite dishes were the octopus risotto and potato pave. very delicious. would def come back to try their normal menu. not a fan of their braised barramundi at all, though.
