Bonjour Cafe the Art - Cafe in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City

Ordered a chocolate croissant and a chocolate drink. Despite a good size croissant, the taste was strange especially because of the chocolate syrup they use. Without it, it would be eating a tasteless crispy dough, and ironically, the size finally makes it a bit painful to finish. Nothing much to complain about their chocolate drink - too watery for me but sweetness was right - there are much better options in Thao Dien for real cocoa drinks. So overall, the quality of the food felt to me at the image of the cafe’s oldish style. Still, nice service and nice ambiance with ballad songs, and seated at the main window, it was like being in a bubble watching the busy morning traffic outside.

Nice decorations, I had salt coffee and egg croissants. They’re ok. The price is reasonable.

Loved this place. Played french music I think the entire time and felt slightly transported as they have created another world here. The upstairs is much more whimsical. The kombuchas here are highly recommended I tried the mango passionfruit one which was delicious. The service here is sincere. I was having issue making a booking as I am data e sim only and so unable to call. I asked if the gentleman at bar could help by calling them so he tried. Then felt odd cos he also didn't have credit to call so I said no worries at all, I'll sort it eventually. And you know what? Five mins later he had recharged so I could call them which he did but they seemed disorganised on other side and dropped call. It was a touching gesture and really appreciated it. Thank you for trying to help. The place upstairs is great hang out.

Very nice guy working the front counter. Place is beautiful and full of art. This is a powerful reflection of the beauty in all the people if Vietnam. Coffee and food were both great. Love the eggs/bread. Coffee was excellent.

Absolutely lovely place! Super cute and well decorated. It was nice sitting inside and just vibing. Good place to snap pictures for IG or make a quick tiktok video. We didn't try any food but did have the drinks! I got the lemongrass kombucha and choco nana smoothie. Kombucha was okay. Tasted kind of basic with no lemongrass flavor. I've had a lot better. The smoothie was good! Not too overwhelmingly one flavor and went down smooth. Crunchy banana chips on top were a nice little snack as well. My mom's peach tea had a good sweet and not too tart flavor! Overall a good experience and would bring my friends here next year just for vibes alone.
