Delicious Korean food.. Nice place, good services..

We were turned away from this restaurant — not because we didn’t have a reservation, but because one of the staff explicitly said I was with “Westerners.” This happened during the COVID period, when Thao Dien had reportedly experienced some issues with some “Westerners”allegedly violating Covid safety protocols. But using that as a reason to refuse us service was unacceptable. The restaurant was nearly empty and it was well past dinner time, yet we were still denied a table. The owner replied to this review and said I must have spoken to one of their Vietnamese staff, but as a Korean myself, I know I wasn’t “confused” about whom I spoke to. Whether it was the manager or another staff member, their attitude was clear — and it was discriminatory. The person even mentioned a “policy” that implied the restaurant was not for Westerners (at least during that time). That’s not just unwelcoming — it’s racist. What’s more upsetting is that instead of acknowledging what happened, the owner seems more focused on denying it with his reply, even suggesting I was mistaken or confused. No apology. No accountability. Just deflection. This kind of treatment is shameful. If this is truly how they treat customers based on the reason given above, this kind of behavior shouldn’t go unnoticed.
