This is one of my preferred donut shops. They have numerous locations across the city; addresses can be found easily on Google Maps or social media. Both the basic and special flavors are well-regarded, as they are not overly sweet or greasy. The pricing is considered reasonable compared to other stores. However, most locations are small, more suited for takeout. They do offer a menu of beverages and have a few small tables if you wish to stay for a short while. Staff are friendly and can provide advice if needed.

Kute Donuts - Donut shop in Thao Dien, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
About This Place
Kute Donuts occupies a compact shopfront on Xuân Thủy in Thảo Điền, running a daily lineup that leans into Southeast Asian flavor territory rather than glazed-and-sprinkled defaults. The menu balances familiar Western staples—chocolate, honey, churros dusted in cinnamon, cookie and cream—against more locally inflected options: purple sweet potato, matcha almond, matcha oreo, and roasted green tea, a nuttier and less astringent take than the standard green tea donut. A "Special Donut" rotates each day with undisclosed flavors and decorations, giving regulars a reason to return and making any given box a mild surprise.
Box sets are the primary format: six, eight, or twelve donuts per order, with flavors randomized unless the customer requests otherwise. A decorated six-box option with daily-changing toppings doubles as a straightforward last-minute gift. Milk tea covers three variations—the house signature, hazelnut, and caramel—which makes it easy to round out a snack order without tracking down a separate café.
With a 4.6 rating across 324 Google reviews, the shop holds steady against the broader Thảo Điền café strip without the same real estate overhead. The Xuân Thủy address puts it within easy reach of the neighborhood's residential corridors—practical for morning pickups before the district's coworking crowd gets moving, or for weekend afternoon runs when the street slows down. Operating seven days from 8 AM to 9 PM extends the window well past the morning pastry slot into early-evening dessert territory. For visitors comparing options in the area, the draw is a short but rotational menu that avoids the sameness of chain donut formats.

Reviews
Discovered this newly opened donut shop right next to our favorite gelato spot, so of course, we had to give it a try. The texture is soft, chewy, and not overly sweet, making it really enjoyable. Honestly, it’s even better than Dunkin’ Donuts in the US! But while the texture is great, the flavors are pretty underwhelming. I tried milk tea and chocolate, and both tasted like artificial flavoring—nothing exciting. What really made the experience better was pairing the donut with gelato from Ciao Ciao next door. Highly recommend grabbing a donut here and heading over for some gelato—it’s a combo worth trying!
The Kute Donuts shop on Bui Vien Street is really cute and welcoming. The ambiance is calming and soft. It was our first time trying mochi donuts, and they were spot on. There were ample options, and everything looked delicious. Highly recommend!
This donut shop needs so much to improve.. the donut does not taste good enough & not many choices. Good staffs attitude and interesting interior design plus great location keep this place 3 star. Overall, it is hard to believe that i might not come back again.
Lovely space, small shop but has good ambience and very comfy. Donuts have great and interesting texture since they use mochi flour instead of all-purpose one. Drinks are also good (heavily recommend milk tea of all sorts) though i don't recommend lowering the sweetness since all the drinks originally are already decently sweet. Staffs are extremely polite and helpful! There's also seats outdoor. Extra point for good lightning, suitable for food photography!
